District 6 Tournament

Postby hoopsstar2391 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 8:08 pm

This district really looks like it is wide open for the taking. By the looks of the season anyone of these teams (South Border, Linton, Steele-Dawson, and Strasburg-Zeeland)could beat either one. Anyone have any info on the tourney, predictions, anything like that. Where is it being played?

south border is 1, steele is 2, linton 3, strausberg 4, napolean 5, hmb 6

even tho south border is 1 i dont think they will even make it to the championship game, they will make it to regions but not the championship, i think it will be strausberg, and linton in the championship game, i do still think steele could beat linton in the semi's, but im picking linton to win it.

I think steele got a pretty tough draw in linton in the semis in my opinion south border is the 4th best team out of that district even though they beat steele early in the year which was the deciding factor between the 1 and 2 seed along with south border beating linton which i didnt see happening. But i think anything except for the four seed out of that district is pretty solid i could see 3 teams out of district 6 advance to the second round of regionals.

i agree, all of the dist 6 teams will most likely advance to the 2nd round of regionals except of course for the unlucky team that gets lamoure first :D

I dont know if you can say that all the teams from district 6 will most likely make it to the 2nd round. District 5 has shown it can play with the district 6 teams. Central Prarie beat Linton, LMM beat South Border, LMM and Strasburg went down to the last seconds, Kulm and Steele-Dawson was a close game. I think the first round of regionals will be close games.

Kulm and Steele-Dawson was a close game in Kulm, now im not sayin Kulm is a bad team but i just dont think they can beat steele but i do think that if they draw south border in the first round of regionals then they could beat them but i just dont think Kulm can beat Steele on a neutral court they are good but i just dont think they are that good by the way i was wondering who guarded randall when they played kulm.

I think that it will be one of the better districts I think that when it is all over with it will be the seeding 1. Linton cause Dan Carr will have his team ready 2. Strasburg-Zeeland to much speed for South Border or Steele to stop them 3. Steele-Dawson i think it will be close if they play Strasburg or Linton but they will have to much with Purintan from Linton and Strasburg is just fast 4. South Border Cory Lippert will have to carry the load if they have a chance

The only problem here is if south border is to make it to regionals they would get the 3 seed at the worst just because they are the number 1 seed going into the tournament i think who ever wins the steele linton game will win the district steele beat them earlier but they were without schneider and you are right Dan Carrs teams are always ready come tournament time and if steele gets by them i think they will beat strasburg again they did beat them by 10 earlier in season.

Strasburg won like 63-38, I was unable to catch the Linton game, though they were up by like 12 going into the 4th.
