Parshall at Watford City (Feb.12th)

Postby Sioux » Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:21 pm

This game will determin who is the 1 seed going into District Tourney..Looking at the other scores, If Watford loses and New Town wins out there will be a three way tie for first, then it will go to a point system because New Town already beat Watford and Watford beat New Town..Who do you guys think will pull this off??

When did New Town beat Watford? Did you mean New Town beat Parshall?

I'll take Watford by 8--Shipman and Youngbird battle, but WC bench prevails..

watford by 13 . it will be an close, intense game with a lot of crowd noise , but watford will inflate the score with free throws at the end .

Watford will take out some frustration on Parshall (beat them in the Regional Championship) and win by 20..

I really don't think it will be that much..Matters what teams show up..If one team doesn't and one does it could be a twenty point game either way..If both teams show up and are ready to play it will be within 8..I'm taking Watford on their home court.

Flyer I think when you post about Watford you write what you hope will happen, not what is logical. By you saying that it could be a 20 point game either way is CRAZY! Yes I am a WC fan, but by you saying that is like me saying the Wolves could have beat Parshall last year by 20. Parshall plays absolutely no defense and have no guard play to bring the ball up the floor against Watford! Atleast post something that is worth reading! GO WOLVES!

Time will tell--I guess something logical is you thinking Watford is going to win every game by 20 points???? Didn't you think the New Town game was going to be double digits??? What your saying is that all Watford has to do is show up, I feel if thats the case they will lose and it could be big. Parshall has three guys that can fill up the score books..Has nobody pressure Parshall this year?? They have lost how many games (3) to very good teams..They must handle some pressure. We will have to find out. Your right though if Watford can play there game and get their defense going and find where Rudy, Jalen and Rainbow are they should be alright..Parshall also has the Dean kid who is averaging almost 9 a game..Still think it is going to be a good one. If parshall doesn't have to go to their bench they match up pretty good. My opinion

Watford City - 74
Parshall - 68

Final

Watford played about half of the 4th Qtr without Shipman due to a bloody nose. Kevin Sanford was huge for the Wolves down the stretch.

yea well parshall only lost by 6 to them in their homecourt prolly tho closet anyone came, plus u have to admit the refs are bad but parshall will take the loss, u kno that sanford douesnt shoot like that on a consistant basis and he wont be makin them far shots in regionals and i feel parshall will be going becuz there the refs are fair and parshall has been in that regionals championship 2 times now and have experience in it, which watford lacks, the only one that has that experience in justin shipman but thats my opinion but we"ll see come tourney time!

Wow what a post! You Parshall people always go right to the refs for an excuse if you lose! And by the way Kevin Sanford has been hitting those shots all year buddy! And P.S. all these players have regional championship expierence, they all played in it last year! And these are some of the same refs that will ref the regional tourney. So if your banking on the refs to help you it will be the same guys in Williston!

Do you honestly believe these referees are from WC..haha..wow??? You keep telling yourself WC doesn't have what it takes to win it all! WC is banged up right now and Parshall still couldn't beat them. WC hasn't played their A game in awhile now and have they lost yet...ummmm no 17-0!

Well if you were at the game give me examples of how the refs were soooooo bad i didn't think there was a bias either way i believe they did a quality job. None of the refs were from watford as you claim. They are exactly as AA said, they will be reffing the district and regional tournaments. Sanford was huge I believe he had WC's last 12 points and went 9/10 from the free-throw line ending up with 25 points and to say its a one time thing is BS, he's been clutch in many games this year and is averaging somehwere between 15-20 a game. KB you weren't perhaps the guy who got escorted out for threatening the refs were you???

Enough about the refs please. Every post on every topic on this entire website could come down to blaming the refs about something. Thanks guys.

That was a heck of a game last night . I honestly didnt think parshall would even come close to watford city , but they were leading with 4 minutes to play . rudy had his best game of the year - he stayed down low and was an unstoppable force. it looked like parshall wanted to win that game more than wc did , and thats y i wont be doubting them as much come district time and hopefully regional championship time -

Ya no kidding blaming the refs for a loss is a completly class-less act and gives a town/team a bad reputation for what 1 specific person says. If you want to blame the refs KBFAN33 you should evaluate who had a higher desire to win that game in the end. I bet if you fairly look at it you will see that Watford did and that my boy is what wins games and championships not officials making bad calls.

Watford is a good team and it is difficult to win a regional championship let alone a state championship if they are able to run the table and do both, especially if they do it undefeated, that is a remarkable achievement and the officiating in those games didn't do it for them, thats where talent comes in and it appears as if they have a lot of it. Shipman is the best player in the region, hands down, and in my belief one of the best 3 in the state. He also has a really good supporting cast around him, they are similar to what Parshall had last year and we all know how far that formula got them.

These two teams will be playing each other in the district championship and more than likely the regional championship. Both of which should be good games, good luck to both teams.

haha that is the worst thing to say!! you shouldnt say watford this year was as good as parshall last year or similar haha they wouldnt handle the forces of the pack twins and you know that haha no way!! watford was a way better tema last yea and so was parshall!!

I understand that everyone has a team they support but I'm not from Parshall or Watford City, I'm from Minot and my dad takes me to the games because he use to watch Parshall coach play ball at Minot State.
We were at the game lastnight and it was a great game. Watford City made runs Parshall made runs. And both Shipman and Youngbird give everyone in the gym what they wanted to see 2 great players going at it. And to take away from a great game and say oh the refs made bad call or oh Shipman was out some in the 4th. You need to STOP IT NOW!!! It was a great game by 2 great teams. Kevin Sanford played a great 4th and hit some big 3's and FT's( Great Job Kevin) And Watford is the #1 team in the state and Parshall not far behind. And to say Shipman is hands down the best player in the Region come on, he is a great player not just in the Region but in the State. But lets be real hands down the best player you should stop before you post and count to 10 the post your comment, cause Youngbird is a great player too and to say hands down is not right so STOP IT!!! I guess Shipman will be Watford's MVP, District MVP, Region MVP, and maybe Mr. Basketball. It could happen but dont post anything like hand down best player when you have 2 great player like Shipman and Youngbird; time will tell. And to Shipman and Youngbird thank you for a great game lastnight. And do post if you have no clue about basketball thank you.

The game between Watford City and Parshall was a great game, but mark my word someone other than WC will win the Region 8 just like last year in Williston. Mandaree, New Town, Parshall, and Williston Trinity Christian could easily beat Watford City in Regional Semi-finals because Mandaree, New Town. Parshall, and Williston Christian were as close as any team could get. Watford City will go undefeated until Regionals and choke like last year and lose too one of the teams mentioned above. Too much pressure to go undefeated!
