tournament for state champ

k so this will probably never happen but im just throwing it out there

so many of the newspapers take the region tournament 8 with 8 teams each and make a 64 team field out of it with the matchups for state in order and everything.

so say class b in north dakota played it our like the ncaa and still had the distric tournament with the winner of each distric tournament getting an automatic bid into the "64 team field" and then have a commitee select the remaining 48 teams to the 64 team field this way everyone could be seaded fairly. Cinderella might then open with the powerhouse etc.

you could take the bracket into regions place them in dickinson, minot, bismarck, fargo, grand forks, valley city, devils lake, mandan, u know whatever

take the final 8 "elite 8" take them to the civic center or the dome in fargo i dont know it would be farily interesting, will never happen but opinions?

i mentioned something like that but as for the people picking the 48 teams, thats almost impossible since the people picking the teams would have to pick like 30 that they have never seen play. i said take th 4 come out of districts, dont do the seeds but have them 4 play a 4 from a different district not in the region. example - District 3 vs District 9...1 plays 4, 2 plays 3. do that for all 16 districts. have it be single elimination until the "elite 8" and have each of the 8 teams play 3 games like they do now for the state tourney. but it would eliminate the 3rd place game at the regional tourney, so only 4 teams would end the season with a win.

true the commitee would have to try and take it upon themselves to at least have someone on the committee see every team perhaps a rep from each distric who knows the teams well
