O come on, He might actually know something unlike Timmerman and Peters.

Never know, I just don't care for Timmerman and Peters, jokes are lame. Basically have to look at sheets for everything.

I don't mind them, if they got new guys it wouldn't bother me. But Jon Cole is not the answer to the problem.

Possibly, but they could do what ESPN does with dude Vitale.

How about a 3rd member to the booth by adding Cole?  Cole could be like a Tony Kornheiser, Dennis Miller, and Howard Cosell. Add a little spice to the same old lame jokes by Timmerman and peters.  Or if that plan fails add a whole new crew.

Haha, that would be great, at least make the boring games more interesting instead of the lame jokes.

I have watched Jon Cole for over 20 years and his enthusiasm for the game has never diminished. Heck, I watch the games just to see him do some of those interviews.

Let's get this guy doing some of the color on these games to spice them up a little. The other two guys do a OK job, but they got to lay off the Valium before the games. Give Jon Cole the 3rd microphone, a spit screen, and some breath mints and let him have at it.

I hope Jon Cole never leaves us. If he ever did, we would get a bunch of young sportscasters that wouldn't have the passion for sports like Jon does and Jon knows his sports. I always like to watch him do the sports on the news.

What area of the state does Jon do sports? I've never actually seen him do sports so I'm thinking somewhere out west?

Cole works for the NBC affiliate in Williston, I believe.  He knows a ton about ND basketball history in the western part of the state - especially in the NW corner.  If you follow NBC's coverage closely, Cole is always assigned to the town/team that is closest to his part of the state.  He roamed the Parshall side of the arena during the title game last night, for example.

John Cole's announcing would have to be better than his on court interview questioning.  To me that entire interview is a waste of time.  The coaching interviews are okay but the athlete one's are terrible.

Maybe he has passion for sports but some of what he does is just terrible.  Maybe announcing would be better but no way I would sub him for Timmerman.

Exactly you need a guy like Jon who knows the history of North Dakota sports and would still be there to do his job even if he wasn't getting paid because of his passion he has for all sports in ND!!

I like Jon Cole as an interviewer. Have never seen him as a sportscaster, so can't give an opinion on that. I do like Lee Timmerman as a sportscaster. However, he needs to know it is a free throw, not a three throw (or at least that is what it sounds like on TV and has for years)
