So much for Lisbon being a state favorite! How does a team that was once ranked top in the state lose in the first round of the Region tournament???

You shut down their star player to 4 points and play good def, district 2 is solid.

They never can make it very far in regions.  It starts with the poor coaching of Kim Mark.  He never knows how to coach down the streach as you could tell when they started loosing at the end of the season.  It would also help if the players respected him.  Because he is not liked by many if any players he coaches.

Lisbon is, or was, by far one of the best teams in the state.  They just happened to play bad and the wrong time, and in regionals u dont get a second chance, where if u lose in districts u still get at least 1 more chance.  I think Lisbon was still down from their loss to Hankinson because they konw that they didn't give their full potential, and same with tonight....they just didnt play the best they could and that happpened at the wrong time.

I think there's more to it than playing bad - something else is wrong - this seems  to have happened to Lisbon many many times in the past.  A school that size should be a threat like Trinity or others similar.  Is it a community attitude that gets in the way of success?
