That kid has some hops!  That is a very nice gym.  Does that also have a floor that can be taken apart and put away?

Either way, scoreboard in the middle or on the ends, you gotta admit that is a nice gym.   This is a class B school.

the only thing I didn't like about that gym was the scoreboards on the side of the gym. Just a little bit of getting used to when other gyms have them on the end.

I've always thought Washburn has a nice gym.

from the gyms that i have been in, i think that shiloh, hazen, trinity, have the best gyms on this side of the state. Trinitys seats the most and has good hoops and nice floor, hazen has a good facility and very nice scoredboard(almost like the civic center), and shiloh just has a nice overall gym

Hi all, this is my first post, but have been lurking for awhile.  Those all look like some nice gyms.  I grew up in Southwestern ND.  Mott specifically and went to DSU later.  Currently, I live in Phoenix and wanted to show you all this new facility in northern AZ that was built for Chinle HS which is in a reservation community near the four corners.  Needless to say, they love their basketball, as you very well would believe.  You might get a kick out of them.

HOLY SMOKES!!!  That is quite the gym.  Where in the world would you get money for something like that?  I know some towns that could use a new gym

It is on a reservation, so I assume it may be a combination of Federal funds and Casino revenue.  I may be wrong about that, but $32 mil had to come from somewhere.
On a side note, all the gyms on reservations seem to be huge here, but none even close to this.  Seating capacity of 3000 + is pretty normal for them.

I would agree with that!  I am sure that they have Fed money and I am sure if the have a casino, it kicks in some!

grafton and walhalla have pretty nice gyms.  i was kind of disappointed last year when regionals were moved to the betty.  don't get me wrong the court and everything was phenominal but the night of the championship game, the place was maybe half full because thats too many seats for a class b tournament.  when they are in mayville or grafton the place is packed and makes for a much much better atmosphere.
That's a lovely fur you're wearing. Perhaps I could find you some slippers made from the skins of innocent and defenseless baby seals!

The school is a small class school here in AZ, but would be one of the largest in ND.  I believe that the enrollment is near 1000, and I don't know how it does for attendance, but I have been to some of those games(not there of course) and the gyms hold over 3000 and they are packed.  The cities travel to all the games, and follow their teams feverishly.  Great atmosphere and I imagine that they will get at least 1000 opposing fans to each of their games and do come close to filling it up.

The big schools in AZ wish they had the following of the small towns in ND, let alone the reservation schools in AZ.  School spirit is pathetic in the big schools.

The nicest gym in the west has to be New Town's new gym. It has lower level bleachers the size of Trinity's or the other nice gyms, but it also has an upper level of bleachers on each side just as big as the lower level.

when it is at grafton or mayville state, you can't find a place to sit. It becomes kind of hazardous at mayville for example when you get people standing in the doorways, and having people seating in chairs lined up under the east basket. They need to play at a place that can actually seat as many people as there is people to seat. You shouldn't have people standing under the baskets, and especially not have chairs under the baskets. Grafton isn't that nice of a gym. Played there either last year or the year before. I wasn't too fond of it. Even though we won there, by alot, It just didn't seem like a good place to play.

IMO region 2 had a good thing going when they rotated the Region Tourney between Mayville and Grafton.....great atmosphere....yes and i know that it's packed.....but you cant tell me that the players dont get jacked up when they see it's standing room only.
