The NDHSAA hit the absolute jackpot as far as who qualified for the last 2-class system State B boys tournament. I think the Civic Center will be full all weekend long.

We tend to forget region 4 consistently dominates… fwm has made it to state more than 75% of the last decade, let alone the state championship.

You are correct in saying that Warwick made it out of region 4. However, 4Winds would have come out of this region if not for the injuries to Leftbear and M Deng. 4Winds beat them by 40 when they were full strength. There will be a lot of fans pulling for Warwick this weekend. They will need to play their best basketball of the year to get it done. Anything can happen once you get to the state tournament.

Can’t say I agree with you. I don’t really think that had an impact. I think if north prairie beats Warwick, north prairie goes to state tourney. I also think that North Star and north prairie both could have gone to state. North Star got hot at the end of season, north prairie played well all season, Warwick was the hottest team in that tourney and that’s just how it is… can’t say that they would’ve easily went to state because they were hurt. I watched them play the semis game and deng and leftbear both played. They were getting beat with those two in or out of the game, North Star played the better game.

This is a bad take. Not sure what you are considering to arrive at Warwick being "hotter" than Four Winds but it isn't accurate.
Four Winds' last 5 games before Region Tourney: Beat Beulah by 19, Harvey by 12, Lost to Shiloh by 8, Beat New Rockford by 55, beat Dakota Prairie by 53
Warwick's last 5 before regionals: Beat New Rockford by 9, Benson County by 7, Dakota Prairie by 55, Larimore by 21, Lost to Harvey by 10.

If healthy, FWM wins Region 4. They would have had competitive games but I think they still win it. I do feel if they made the state tourney this year, they would have lost 2 games there.

R4 guy here. A couple of takes:
FW-M - They had a different style of team this year. Wasn't quite the outside shooting team of year's past. So they adjusted to their strength, which was defense and depth. Created a lot of turnovers which lead to a lot of layups and free throws. Loss of 3 players down the stretch definitely hurt them.
North Prairie - Well rounded team. Just seemed to have a below average game in semis. Credit Warwick's defense.
North Star - Oldest Hagler was only 70% for last part of season due to ankle injury. Credit rest of team for picking it up and playing good ball down the stretch.
Warwick - Best outside shooting team of the 4 in my opinion (North Prairie was awful good too). If they shoot the ball well from the 3 will give teams problems at state. Sneaky good defense and players are physically strong rebounders. Good luck to Warwick at state.
