It was a good game and exactly what I expected; lower scoring

6-17 is 35%, that's decent. I can't imagine they're shooting much better than that.
17 attempts seem low for a team that shoots a lot of 3s though.

The past several games (starting with Shiloh on January 9th) they are shooting 41.4% from beyond arc with an average of 10.9 3PM in a game (Exclude the FWM game and it's 43.4% and 11.4 3PM per game)

EDIT: I had a typo on a misread...they were 6-27 from beyond arc (22.2%) vs. Kindred last night; oops...that explains the settling statement better.

Good Game for the Eagles today... everyone scoring.. good defense.... looks like they gained a little bit of their stride back.
Still work to do, but its a start against a Good Shiloh team.

I was told to go watch the Enderlin v Tri State game.
4:24 remaining in the game Enderlin up 75-30. Starters back on the floor. It was hard to tell with no clock on the screen, but I estimated the Enderlin starters came out around the 3:00 mark. About 3-4 possessions after TS pulled their starters.

I have no idea why coaches do this. I realize you want your players to stay in stride...but rolling up more points makes no sense...especially with the chance of getting a player injured...which is what almost happened when Bartholomay went up for a dunk and was undercut(Enderlin cannot afford to loose any of their top 5).. happened within the last 5 minutes and Enderlin had a HUGE lead that would not have been diminished by much. If anything wouldnt you want to to put in a few subs so they get quality play time with the starters?...Just my opinion is all..probably has something to do with points scored against common opponents when it comes to tie breaker as far as who gets the #1 standing come Regional Ranks.

Nope that tiebreaker is moot if it’s a blowout as there is a max points so that’s not it.

Big game in the Squirrels Den tomorrow night when Enderlin travels to Central Cass. This game will go a long way as to who gets that #2 spot and possibly the 1 spot depending on who wins between Kindred and Enderlin later this month. Some intriguing matchups to look forward to. Anyone catch the OG vs Langdon game? I've yet to be able to watch the stream cast yet but looking at the score it must have been a fun game. Langdon must be for real. They beat a very competitive OG team at the Grover gym.

Langdon shot the lights out and led just about the entire game; Cardinals had a 10-0 lead after 2 minutes; 30-23 Cardinal lead after 1st Quarter! Scoring slowed in Quarter 2 and then the 2nd half was obviously very high scoring.

OG was down 17 early in the 4th Quarter and down 9 with a minute left...cut the game back down to 85-81 but Langdon hit the FTs late to seal the deal.

So Let's say Kindred can find a way to get by Sargent County and Hankinson in the next few weeks but gets beat by Enderlin.... And Enderlin goes wins all the their last conference games... So they both have one loss... who gets the number 1 seed? Kindred beat Wyndmere Lidgerwood by by 33 and Enderlin lost to them....

H2H win breaks the tiebreaker; so If Kindred loses to Enderlin & Enderlin wins out; they both have 1 region loss then Enderlin would be #1 & Kindred #2

Wasn’t it expected that Enderlin wins this game fairly handily?

well I pretty much seen everyone play so far this season, I nailed it last year, so here is my final predictions.
1. Oak Grove to represent Region 1 this year
2. Kinnerd
3. Enderlin, next year will be a walk in park for them
4. CC, just not enough fire power
5. NC
6. W-L
7. Lisbon
8. Hankinson
9. Maple Valley
10. SC
11. Tri-State
12. Richland

I have not seen all Enderlin games but a handful. This is the first time that I have seen them use the big guys in the paint a bunch. Both of them. That is unstoppable. They each still took a couple 3's but the inside game was powerful. Well If they keep doing that Region 1 is in trouble.

It's crazy that it took that long for them to start to do that to other teams. Anyone that's ever talked about this Enderlin group has been on that take since last year. Glad they are willing to adapt and change their style. If this becomes the norm and not an exception, Enderlin could bring a state championship home this year.

They are unstoppable playing that type of ball. Very impressive to watch last night. I saw rebounds and outlets to guards and fast break finishes. I didn't think they would make it out of the regionals this year but they just went to number 1 in my book if they keep that style of play.

 Yeah, just like against LaMoure and Wyndmere Lidgerwood!

Feb 19th vs Oak Grove & Feb 26th vs Kindred will tell the story if this is going to be the Eagles "new" style of play. I'll hold my applause until after the 26th because one thing we have seen all season from the Eagles is a lack of control. They did play a great game though and it was a good win for them.

Well Oak Grove is at Home and Kindred is at the Eagles. Kindred is getting healthy but I see the eagles taking it to them in their gym. BUT the only games that really matter are in the regionals.

You might be the first person I've seen predict Oak Grove to come out of R1.

Low scoring game at Northern Cass last nite. Max Kobbervig (CC) held Jace Crockett (NC to 6 points. Central Cass wins 57-37.

Kobbervig did that himself, or CC brought huge help, switched screens, doubled Crockett off ball picks, jumped him, etc.....honestly don’t know, didn’t see the game, but usually when I’ve seen a good player get held in check it’s because of team defense.
