I'd actually argue that region 4 is the tougher region, 3 teams in the top 10 in the latest poll and two other teams that have been rated or receiving votes at some point during the season.

Missed Dakota Prairie receiving votes early in the year so there were actually 6 teams in region 4 ranked or receiving votes during the year as well. Won't argue which is the the stronger region but should make for some very interesting regional tournaments

I’d take Regions 1, 2 & 4 will have some very exciting Region action because of the quality of teams. Should be lots of fun

I'll give you three! Being ranked at the beginning of the year means absolutely nothing and we all know that. But that aside I agree with you that Region 4 has some great teams. So if we gave Enderlin the boot that would make room for your three teams. That should plant a seed!

I liked to say that above regions will have good tourney action but I also got to think that there are good teams all around the state region 7 seems to me to have very good balance of teams and when you get to region tournaments there are always team peaking and playing very good basketball. Also this year there has not been much play between the east and west like in past several years. That is why it should be fun state tournament to see how various teams perform when they get to state tournament. I would not be surprised that we have quite a few upsets before the region tournaments are finished because there seems to be good balance in lot of the regions.

Region 2 - Thompson handed #1 FW's their only loss of the year + beat New Rockford, HCV rolled over all 4 region 1 teams they played (4 of the top 6 in the region), and HN has only lost to #1 and #5 all year.

And Cavalier beat HCV and led most of the Thompson and H-N game

In Region 5, I watched Shiloh play the first night and listened to them tonight. It seems that they start out slow and eventually find their groove just before halftime, and pour it on in the second half. If they make it to state that can't happen. Whoever they would play at state will take advantage of their slow start. Every team that's still alive has gotten better. You can't expect to struggle for much of the first half in every game, cause eventually it will catch to you. Prediction, I think Flasher takes it Thurs. Night, if they played like they did in the first half of D9 title game they will beat Shiloh. Bulldogs by 3.
