This could be and exciting tournament all 3 nights. First round should see 3 good games other than Four Winds who would be favored by 30. The other 3 match ups favor the district 8 teams but all 3 games could be less than 10 point games. Semi-final night looks to be as exciting as 2012 was!.....well almost.

G1: D7-1 Four Winds-Minnewaukan (20-1) vs. D8-4 Rolla (10-12) by 30

I agree that this could be one exciting tourney, the big question I think is: "Tronis McKay, playing or not playing?"
If he plays, I see this being a no brainer, if he isn't playing all bets are off and I think that 4 teams have a legit shot at the title, FW-M, Dunseith, St. John, and North Star.

Just curious, why would Tronis not be playing?

I believe he sprained his ankle against Shiloh Christian (last regular season game)...he didn't play in the 2nd half of that game.

Sprain/possible dislocation, did not play in districts at all.

I'm guessing they are letting him heal up as much as possible because they didn't need him in the districts or the first round region game. My guess is if he can go we'll see him semifinal night.

This is probably a pretty accurate assumption. Unless he was 100%, I wouldn't have played him in the district tournament either.

Tronnis playing?

He came off the bench against Rolla. Tweaked his ankle again during that game. I haven't heard anything either way about tonight

This region probably has the best 1-4 seeds in the state. It falls off after that, but 1-4 is pretty solid.

Should be a interesting game title. One time coming off a big win and the other coming off a nail bitter!
I'll say if fw/m stays hot they should run away with this one. Tronis McKay looks nearly 90% but still had a good game against St. John.
