Couple things. First where is Stewart? Playing on a national team? Second things are switched in the boys game, the B is going to be the bigger team. Gonna go out on a limb and say the B win all 4 games.

That business about being enrolled already makes a player ineligible is, in my opinion, garbage. What difference does it make? She has graduated from high school and is getting on with the next phase in her life as soon as possible. What is bad about that? What is the basis for this rule? It just makes no sense to me.

Stewart WANTS to play in the Lions games. A few others actually turned DOWN the invitation. Not because they were playing in another game, or had some other commitment where they could not be there. They just didn't want to play. Doesn't seem to be much justice for Stewart in this case.

Several Class A players could not play in the game either because they got talked into playing on some travel team. It just so happens that the travel team is playing somewhere during the Lions games and it was a choice of playing with the travel team and skipping the Lions games or not playing at all on the travel team. Why did that travel team put these girls in the situation of having to make that choice? Several of the girls wanted to play in the Lions games but it was an all or nothing proposition with the travel team. Does anyone know more about that situation?

It seems like the selection process was pretty tough this year.

Why does the NDHSAA have anything to say about these games as these kids are done with their H.S.

I don't think it's NDHSAA rules, it's the rules of the Lions. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure because you are still under NDHSAA training rules in order to play. If you have any training violations you are out.

I know that Lion's sponsor it but I think it is still a NDHSAA event??

Ryan Holmgren had tweeted that it was a NDHSAA decision.

Is this a recent rule change? I do remember Dexter Werner already enrolled and was working out with NDSU and he played in the all star game.

I'm going off of memory here..
Boys Girls
Class A 93 Class A 41
Class B 75 Cass B 62

The thing that I was scratching my head about, was the "A" girls starting lineup. Klabo and Chacin started on the bench(their only 6 footers). When you're going small against Bohl and Freije, that's not good. "B" started the game 11-0. The closest that "A" got was 7 points with 3 minutes left in the first half. Until the flood gates opened.

As for the boys game. Class "B" couldn't handle the depth and defensive pressure of class "A". Every couple of minutes, "A" would sub in 5 guys and still play tough.

In summary: The "A" boys team was more physical and executed better. The girls game was the same, but opposite teams.

Now I think I know why Class "A" sat some players. If I remember, both boys and girls started all west players. You should expect all east "A" players to start in Fargo.
Anyways, good luck to all teams tonight which should be two competitive games.
