Let me start out by saying I like the 15 listed here.

A few shocks:
*Austin Lee on the 2nd Team...definitely thought he was one of the Top 5 players in the State.
**Someone is always going to be snubbed...but I feel Anthony Olson was a really shocking omission from this team
***There are a few players that had good numbers this year that will definitely find their way on to the team next year. One name that comes to mind is Deyondre Simpson of Parshall...as there are many others.

This is the first year out of the past 6 that North Star hasn't had 2 players on the team.

I'm totally with you on this one. If folks would have been able to see Austin Lee play, they would understand. Not enough visibility I guess. Also, I feel if Carter is a first teamer, so should Chrisitian. All in all, its a great list with a couple of changes (IMO). I will say this, this list makes way more sense than the B girls.

I agree with the thoughts on Olson and I think Zach Miller was also deserving. I also think White had first team season and career numbers but that's the way it goes. Congrats to all.

Congrats to all players, but i see alot of preference to one side of the state. Lee should be 1st team and no olson on list and agree with z miller he should be on there, and I know at least 1 player from region 8 D Simpson from parshall. voters need to get out more to different gyms.

I'm absolutely shocked Austin Lee wasn't 1st team and Anthony Olson definitely should have been at least 2nd team.

I don't think Simpson was even nominated for All-State by Region 8.

You have a case for either Miller or Bernhardt from Rugby...but in any case there are always snubs for any "Team" that is voted on.

I will also agree with RunNGun...I thought Anthony Olson would make the team. Lee, IMO was a first teamer, but he still made the All-State Team and that's what should matter. We break down a First Team & a Second Team...but in the end its all one big accomplishment just to be selected as All-State!

Who would you take off to bring those 3 on? In addition, if I were to bring 3 players on that did not make it, I do not think those would be the 3 I would take.

Balla45.you wouldn't take Olson over any of those on 2nd team?
Just wonderin.
Region 8 had a pretty good player in Darryl Grady that didn't make it that should have. IMO
Im not going to say who he would replace on list tho congrats to all players

Tough to say. I don't watch everyone play every game. I watched Olson play in the regular season and he did not stand out to me. 5th best player on the floor that game. I watched him at state and was very impressed. Not sure which version showed up more.

I definitely do not think these are the 15 best players in B, but all would make my top 30.

Congratulations to all the players on this list. There are definitely some good ones. 2nd team, there is always snubs like Run said. You could make an argument for another 2-5 players to flip-flop with kids on there right now. With that said, I think all on the list are very deserving. Obviously mentioned about 5 times already, but it's almost inconceivable to me that Austin Lee doesn't make 1st team.

Pinke is a good player top 30 this is t to discredit him but a farse he made it before Meehl and Olson in region 3.

All-Ways controversial...as well as MVP's, Most Valuables....bottom line though is there is a select few who stand out and rise up an contribute in ways some cant and dont.....dont bang this drum (who shoulda and who shouldnta) to long because before you know it next season and another crop of outstanding young men will be nominated and chosen....Congrats to the 15!!.. :D

I just had a very good conversation on this topic. This does indeed happen every year, with deserving players left off, in fact, we experienced this last year. I have my opinions but every time I say a player should be in, I am deservedly asked who should be removed and I do not want to denigrate any young man and this great accomplishment with my opinions which would be based on a partial sampling. So like Run and Winner have stated, congrats to these 15. Also want to say congrats to those who were left off as this doesn't take away from the great seasons and careers you have had. No one game defines a player and neither does one award.

IMO Lee is better than Kretchman. Lee put up better stats, and didn't have a Christian Adams to take the pressure off of him like Kretchman did. Plus I think he has a better skill set.
