With the new 'developments'...North Star would drop for me. Rugby would be my #1 (really have been since State ended last year).

For those without the Hoopster:

1. North Star
2. Rugby
3. Oak Grove
4. New England
5. Cavalier (not sure how this could be.)
6. Shiloh Christian
7. Linton HMB
8. New Town
9. Four Winds Minnewaukan (I think this is low.)
10. Beulah
11. Central Cass
12. Our Redeemer's
13. Lamoure - LM (I would swap LLM and New Town)
14. Hillsboro-Central Valley
15. Parshall
16. Washburn
17. May-Port-CG
18. Dickinson Trinity
19. Berthold
20. Solen
21. Enderlin
22. Harvey-Wells County
23. Oakes
24. Watford City
25. Heart River
26. Standing Rock
27. Northern Cass
28. Park River FL
29. St. John
30. Bishop Ryan
31. Ellendale
32. Kenmare
33. Kindred
34. Griggs County Central
35. Killdeer
36. Carrington
37. Garrison
38. Dunseith
39. Tioga
40. TGU

Four Winds-Minnewaukan is only 9 because the Top 8 are the Region winners. I agree should be higher

How they do the hoopster top 40 is they take all the top picks from the Region and rank them 1-8, then the next 8 are the region "2"s and so on.

I don't like how they do it because you can't tell me that 5 teams from certain regions are one of the 40 best teams in the state.

A top 40 to me sees pretty impossible, atleast it gives us something to talk about. I'll just try attempt to do a preseason top 10.

1. Rugby
2. Four Winds
3. Oak Grove
4. Linton
5. Shiloh
6. Beulah
7. Central Cass
8. New England
9. Lamoure
10. Mayville

I agree the way they do it doesn't provide a ton of value, other than helping starting conversations on the topic.

Here is my top 20, completely unscientific.

1. Rugby
2. Oak Grove
3. Four Winds
4. Linton HMB
5. Lamoure - LM
6. Central Cass
7. Beulah
8. Shiloh
9. New England
10. Heart River
11. New Town
12. North Star
13. Our Redeemers
14. May Port - CG
15. Hillsboro Central Valley
16. Washburn
17. Dickinson Trinity
18. Enderlin
19. Harvey-Wells County
20. Northern Cass

I think I'll do some sort of Region-by-Region topic for BBB & GBB this week...I'm through 5 of 8 regions for BBB so far. So look for those new topics for discussion, debate & predictions.

I will rank my Top 25 Teams after all those are up :)

In region 4 I don't think anyone besides four winds and Northstar would be top 20. The rest of the region is down. If Weston is done for the season it will be very tough for Northstar to top FW

I think District 8 will be pretty darn competitive NDLionsFan especially if Weston is down. I think Dunseith is a nice addition and St. John returns some horses. I also look for Rolette-Wolford to be improved. I do agree though that District 7 is a one-team race as is Region 4 with Four Winds-Minnewaukan being a heavy favorite.

You're right, it sounds like Dunseith and St John will be tough outs in Dist 8.

These rankings have changed drastically. Proves that the intensity of teams is a huge factor!
