Top teams from each region?

Postby HufflePuff » Thu Oct 30, 2014 7:24 pm

I was just curious to know which teams you think will be the best from each region?

Region 1: Oak Grove
Region 2: Cavalier
Region 3: Strasburg-Zeeland/Linton-HMB
Region 4: Four Winds
Region 5: Shiloh
Region 6: Rugby
Region 7: New England
Region 8: New Town

If North Star was healthy I would have included them.

In Region 3, there are legitimately 6 or more teams that could have a chance to win it. LLM amd LHMB are probably at the top of that list entering this season but there is a pack of teams right behind them.

Alex Weston tore his ACL.

Not true. Had an MRI yesterday. Waiting on results. Nothing is known yet.

Oakes and Lamoure might not be bad in Region 3. Central Cass could possibly challenge Oak Grove. North Star really needs good news from Alex Weston

Lamoure has some talent but they have some very big shoes to fill with Brady thielges's graduation, some of the young players will have to step up this year

Then he was wrong when he texted me and said "Torn ACL. Completely torn." Later reiterated that sentiment on his Twitter feed.

Hopefully you are right though.

balla45 is much more plugged in than I am but my understanding is he was covering a punt versus Lamoure - LM in their 1st round playoff game. Olson was the returner and Alex was positioning himself to make a tackle and his knee buckled. Non contact injury. If any of this is wrong, feel free to correct.

I am not sure how it happened.

I had read in the paper that he had a knee injury and asked him how it was on that Sunday. Said something to the effect that it was fine and just a sprain. Then on that Thursday, he said it was torn. Was pretty close to 1000 yards on the season.

Hopefully he lifts his upper body a ton and this turns out to be a blessing in disguise.

I'm sure he is going to have a ton of options to play BB at the next level. But with his size and athleticism I could see him getting a lot of attention at a pretty high college football level. But that's for the football forum.

Exactly how it happened, he just planted wrong and it gave out. Hate to see a great player like that go down and hope he is back on the basketball court.
