According to the Grand Forks Tourney website and NDHSAA website, the #1 seed will play the 3rd game of the day.

Aren't the first two games at 1pm and 3pm usually. Then a break before starting the evening session?

Questions:

1. Does anybody know if the Alerus has installed a central scoreboard?
2. I believe there was a new rule about moving student sections back from the end lines. Last time in Alerus, there was a walkway between court and student section. Really took the student sections away from the action. Guessing it will be this way again?

I believe so. I think the night games will tip-off at 6 pm.

Might be 630...When NBC had it they needed to get their local news on first. I doubt that changes with the ABC broadcast this year.

Any idea who is doing the TV broadcasts as far as personalities??? I'm guessing no more Jon Cole???

I guess its me but it sure seems like for class b state tournament in last 5 to 6 years looks like same group of teams that are there every couple of years. Like OakGrove, Centeral cass,Kindred, Grafton, Cavalier, Fourwinds, Northstar, Linton HmB, Lamoure, Carrington, Shiloh, Rugby, Beulah, Dickinson Trinity, Bishop Ryan, Newtown, and Watford City. Last year was kind of fun with Milnor and Trenton their and both surprising pretournament picks for state. I sure like it we could get some new blood into tournament where all 8 regions would not see one of these schools make it but teams that haven't been to state in many years or never have been to state. It seems were lucky to get one school that isn't of this group to state. I just like to see some fresh faces and crowds that are not used to going to state tournament.

Yes, lot of repeats but I think Carrington has just gone once and Rugby the last two. Not sure about Central Cass and Kindred but I think they've just gone once too.

Not sure why Kindred is in this conversation...they haven't gone to State in a while. Central Cass went in 2012.

Flasher 2005
Grafton 2008, 2011, 2012
Linton 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2012
New Town 2011
Northstar 2009, 2011, 2012
Oak Grove 2000, 2001, 2010, 2011

9 different teams making it to state in a 15 year span really isn't that bad. Region 4 only has 6 different teams since 2000.

2000- Cando
2001- Mwkn-Shey
2002- Wells Co
2003 - NRS
2004- NRS
2005- NRS
2006- FW
2007- FW
2008- FW
2009- Northstar (cando)
2010- Carrington
2011- NS
2012- NS
2013- FW-M
2014- NS

I might have those first three and the years mixed up, but those three teams made appearances.

I'm pretty sure Minnewauken went in 2000, when the state B was in Fargo

Sheyenne-Minnewaukan was in 2000...they played in the Semifinal game vs. Oak Grove at the FargoDome.

Cando was 2001...had that showdown with North Border

don't know how the vote goes but how does Beulah get 4th seed when flasher ,newtown, linton have better records I know strength of schedule might have something to do with it but I know for sure linton beat Beulah head to head

The competing coached ranked the teams 1-7. Leaving out their own team. The best and worst rank were thrown out and then averaged. Seated 1-4 then a drawing for their opponents.

SOS and how they finished the season probably played a part in it. A lot has changed from the first game of the season!
