If this were to happen...Kindred would get the 3-seed and NC the 4-seed (Kindred has higher tourney seed)

Anything can happen in District 12. Bishop Ryan could definitely beat DLB and it may be hard for ORCS to beat Berthold again but it could happen.

I think district 7 it will be hard for Carrington to come out this district. My guess would be FW-M, H-WC,NR-S, and Warwick. Carrington has lost to Warwick, LE, H-WC, FW-M, and beat NEW Rockford in overtime early in the season.

Good point, I forgot about their loss to L-E...although they do seem to come together around this time of year

Yes if I recall I've been told Bottineau's girls did it at one time.

District 7

Four Winds-M
Harvey-WC
Warwick
Carrington

District 8

St. John
North Star
Benson County
Munich-Starkweather
These four have made Regionals consistently that last few years, don't see it changing unless Rolette steps up. Rolla is the Dark Horse playing at home.

District 11

Westhope
Dunseith

It's happened quite a few times, but haven't heard of it happening in the last 10 years. I know of a few instances where a #1 seed lost their first two games in districts and were done. Also remember a year when Larimore boys hadn't won a game all year, then they upset #5 ranked Hillsboro in the first round of districts in the late 90s. Back then they played with a challenge game where 5th place could challenge 4th for the region berth if they hadn't already played, but of course Larimore ended 4th and Hillsboro 5th so they were out. Larimore went to regions with a 1-21 record.

Dist 7
1. FWM
2. NRS
3. HWC
4. Carrington

NRS has been playing well as of late so I think they make it to the championship. I don't see FWM getting challenged in the district tourney.

Dist 8
1. St. John
2. Northstar
3. BC
4. RW

If D*ck for MS is back in action, I could see them at #4. BC has not been playing well lately, so a first round upset by Rolla could lead to them slipping in, too.

I can go along with this in District 7...NRS has been playing well and Carrington will have to bring their "A" game to beat them tonight.

I can't remember the exact year, but I believe it was mid-late 90's when DLB boys had to play-in just to make it to districts and went on to take 4th place in state. (Standing Rock won state that year in Miont) Back then, I believe DLB was in District 15 and not every team was an automatic to play in the district tournament (too many teams). They had a play-in game for the last spot in district. DLB went on to the champ. game at districts and took 2nd place. They went on to sweep Regions and found themselves at the state tourney. They took 4th place. I'm not sure, but I would bet that they had to have bet a #1 team somewhere along the way! Run, maybe you can help me with the year.

1998 DLB beat Mohall in the region 8 championship. Mohall was ranked pretty high but not #1. Mohall had one loss early in the season, led by Ryan Walker. Also in 2002 Berthold was the #8 seed goimg into districts, got Adam Grant back right before the District 12 tourney and went on take 2nd in state to MPCG. Surrey was #1 seed and got beat by Berthold in regions as well. Some current coaches in district 12 on those teams, Chris Brown for Berthold(played for Berthold) and Jeremy Feller, ORCS, played for Surrey

I believe Central Cass did the same thing in 1997, going from play-in game at District 2 to a 4th place finish at the FargoDome at the state tournament. Lost to Glenburn in the semis. Mayport won that year, as I recall.
