Many ND kids are in volleyball and football right before basketball season starts, and then have track and baseball right after so that really affects scheduling.

The starting time would be same as it would be now for boys they are already done with football and girls would also have completed volleyball season. The effect would be mostly on schools that would have made it to state in volleyball but that would be 8 out of 110 teams. In the Spring of year there is very little track meets until middle to end of April in the state. Same thing for baseball in the state if its like has been last couple years lucky to get any baseball in before end of April and before May. I just see this as way to reduce grind on kids in basketball and also parents during the season and would mean less games during school week taking away from school and late nights before kids are home and back at school the next day.
