They lost at a good Linton-HMB last week...now the final differential was 20 points (58-78) but its early. We'll see how they bounce back. They have a few good matchups coming over the holiday break: 12/20 - vs. FW-M; 12/21 - vs. Rugby (neutral court); 12/28 - vs. Bishop Ryan; 1/2 - @ DL-B.

It is hard to deny that Region 6 is one of the toughest, if not the toughest Region in the state! Three teams in the top 10 (Rugby, DLB, Lewis & Clark-Berthold) and two others received votes.(Ryan & Our Redeemers) Could be a very interesting regional tournament. By the way, four of the five teams are from District 12.(Except Rugby) I guess districts could be fun to watch this year too!! GO LAKERS!! :D

Just an observation on Polls........ early in the season as many as 18 teams received votes (common early on) ...the least being 13 teams and the latest (yesterday) 15 teams...and now tonight's game with FW and Rugby is going to either lock Rugby in the #1 spot if they win or throw another screw into the next poll (which should be the last?).....anyways, I feel the story line is there could be some interesting upsets in the Region tourneys..... :P

Rugby should be #1 as unbeaten. Cavalier should be #2(unbeaten in ND) then a toss up for the one loss teams.

Either the lure of 1 vs 2 tonite got a lot of media to bite, or Cavalier is getting dinged for strength of schedule????

well that definitely wasn't what I was trying to lead to, nor why I posted, but I did ponder on that and I think your theory is correct and probably rightfully so....I was going thru Runs scores of games and stats and trying to pinpoint where the most intense inter-regional play is taking place this season and its not Region 2...I actually think its probably 1,5,6 not in that order...a good question might be (and I know Cavalier plays Grafton tonight, but Grafton hasn't been rated nor honorable mention for sometime now so Cavalier is expected to win, yet upsets happen) but to tie into your theory ...lets say Cavalier was playing FW in Cavalier tonight or Rugby in Rugby....we'd have some fun guessing going on I think...or lets say some interesting break downs of both games.... :)

I'll argue that tonite's Rugby/FW game is not the most important game either team plays this week...

For Rugby, I'm most interested in how they look Thursday in Maddock following a Monday night and Tuesday night game...are they tired, dinged up, flat, lazy etc.

FW goes to Rugby tonite, Carrington tomorrow...how do their legs, defense, etc look in GF Saturday???

Head to head between good rested teams keeps fans interested...but not that important. Which of these "poll" teams have the depth and intensity to go three games in three nights, or three games in four nights??? The polls cant tell us that... :D

You can't get much closer than 63-60
