South Border 47
SZ 47
End of 4th

someone from SB missed 2 FTs with 15 seconds left that could have iced it.

Radio must have a delay. I was watching on BEK and posted this after the final whistle.

BTW Michael Jacobson looked like a first team All Stater for sure.

Probably LHMB. Although SBs size could cause problems for LLM.

Anybody who knows anything about basketball, knows that if SZ had their other starter and one of their bench players who is out with mono, last nights match up with SB would have been a different game. All in all it was a great intertaining game. Hats off to the Clippers for working hard and never saying never!! Good luck to ALL the teams Thursday night.

That kid out with mono does not get in on varsity. So they were only missing one player.

No body felt sorry for South Border when they were missing Mikey Jacobson for the first 6 games this season or when they had at least one starter out with injuries for the 1st 9 games of the year. (I'm sorry the SZ kid got hurt and I am glad that he is going to be ok.) It was unfortunate that SZ was not 100% but thats the way it goes sometimes. Good luck to SZ on Thursday, Coach Kleinsasser is a class act and a very good coach who will have them ready to play their big rivals one more time this winter.

Injuries/illness are factors all teams have to deal with to some extent. Staying healthy is a key part of making a Championship run which unfortunately can't be controlled. There is obviously a bit of luck (good or bad) involved. However unfortunate these occurrences may be, they don't change the result and they shouldn't diminish the accomplishment of the winning team.

I totally agree that Coach Kleinsasser is a great coach and class act. He and his team had a wonderful year and should be proud of themselves. It will be fun to watch Brody Niewsma the next 3 years, what a player.

Looking ahead at Thursday's match up, interested in thoughts on this game.

South Border is playing very well and are very confident that they can beat the Loboes, which could be key. Michael Jacobson has elevated his game as has Hunter Pinke it seems. Lamoure LM is coming off an emotional win over a rival and will need to be ready for a spirited effort from the Mustangs. The Jacobson- B.Thielges and Pinke - Olson match ups are both very important but I think it will be how the rest of the teams match up and how well they play which will determine the outcome. I think this will be a good game.

I will go on the record as saying LLM by 3, in OT.

LLM by 8, will be close to the end but SB will have to foul and freethrows will come into play.
