Same way Four Winds had class by firing a three with 5 seconds left and then getting the rebound and making a lay up at the buzzer with no St John defense there. Better just leave it at that....don't wanna get this topic locked ;)

Also, when coach smith went over to talk to the st. John coaches before the game, Frydenland went and sat on the last chair of the st john bench. Didn't say a word to smith. Classy.

Plz get back to discussing the games tomorrow night...or this topic will likely be locked

That would be unfortunate, Run...for the rest of us who try not to rise to the 'baiting' that sometimes takes place on these threads. As a long distance NS fan...it's one of the few ways I have to stay in touch with ND B BB. I love to follow it and have enjoyed the opportunity to do so on this site. I'd hope there is a way to 'manage' the behaviors as opposed to a broad stroke 'lock' on the rest of us...I'm just sayin'!

Well let's start with this...Yours was not exactly the response I might have hoped for, Run...I don't think I need a lecture from you about staying on topic when that's what I was hoping to drive. I've been around this site as long as you have and never stooped to inappropriate dialogue. I have, furthermore, appreciated the tremendous amount of support and information you drive into this site. Forgive me if I've offended your sensabilities or challenged your authority.
I've already made my pick for the evening. I'm hoping my little ole consolidated district can take down the Indians and march off to state and maybe get a rematch with the Miners. I'd love to see Region 4 get a shot at the Miners again...and if it's Four Winds, kudo's to them and to their success. I'll be pulling for them if it's not the BearCats. ON the other hand...the final game of the first night at state could be tremendous. The Panthers from Rugby are playing as well as anyone in the state right now. AND...good luck to the Bison...love to see Milnor back at state...rich tradition, great basketball town, and everyone loves someone new and fresh!

If memory serves correctly the NDHSAA doesn't allow broadcast of any post season games which is why it won't be streamed. I think a school out west by us tried this once and got turned down.

Wished I lived closer because I would love to see this game.

Well King, thanks for the luck. I'm going with the boys by 12. Defense is playing REAL good right now.

FWM played great game tonight and played with a passion to get to state tournament. They had the depth to push Northstar on defense and offense for full four quarters and they hit big shots when they needed to keep the momentun there way. Northstar showed lack of depth tonight the two eighth graders did okay but Northstar could of used some older talent to releive their starters that were more physical and experienced in games like this. In both halves Northstar won the begining of the half but by the end of halves FWM won the half. Also i think this is the first time in longtime that Northstar had to play full 32 minutes because they had no lead to rest players and i think it showed in their shooting percentages and turnovers. Northstar group of kids of Hagler, Grande, and larson had heck of run in highschool basetball in there four years in highschool i think they only have lost only 4 or 5 times quite record. FWM will be good
representive for region 4 in the state tournament and i think should do quite well there.

It's a disgrace the way that the Four Winds players and fans act. Region 4 should be embarrassed to have them representing us at state. They're a good team, but they don't have any class and it makes me sick to have Region 4 represented like this.

It's just their cocky attitudes and lack of sportsmanship.

X...just stop! I'm a lifelong Cando/NS fan and I feel the pain...but to cast a pall over a phenomenal run by a group of Cando/Bisbee/Egeland kids who've played their hearts out, and a group from 4 Winds that has done the same disrespects those kids, the communities and the game. Heaven's knows, NS and Cando fans have had their share of heartbreaks over the years, and conversely the blessing of a a core group of kids over the past four years who have been gifted athletes and wonderful human beings to boot. By appearances, that run may not be over yet!
Congratulations to Four Winds...What a great regional final and have you ever seen or heard a more electric environment?! If we exhibit passionate behavior in the moment that is either too exuberant or too despondent can we just forgive one another...maybe craft our posting...but resist the temptation to hit "send". Let's exorcise our internal demons and pay a little respectful salute to the hardwood warriors who make this annual event such a incredible tradition.
Congratulations Four Winds...I'll be pulling hard for you to represent Region 4 and to do us all proud. Go Get 'em!
