G1: D8 #1 North Star (#2; 20-1) vs. D7 #4 New Rockford-Sheyenne (13-8) NS by 20+
G2: D7 #2 Carrington (18-4) vs. D8 #3 Munich-Starkweather (14-8) Carrington by 20+
G3: D7 #1 Four Winds-Minnewaukan (#5; 19-2) vs. D8 #4 Benson County (7-15)First half will be close, then FW heats up. FW by 20+
G4: D8 #2 St. John (17-5) vs. D7 #3 Harvey-Wells County (13-9) This is an interesting game. If D8 is going to have any other team advance this will be the one. Still taking HWC by 5.

G5: North Star vs. Carrington NS by 15
Four Winds-Minnewaukan vs. Harvey-Wells County FW by 15

3rd Place: Carrington vs. Harvey-Wells County HWC in an OT thriller, but it will be lucky to get to the 50s
Championship: North Star vs. Four Winds-Minnewaukan NS by 10, 85-75

I think that North Star has become a better team from Hagler's absence in the past few games. People who may not have had the most confidence before his injury were forced into more prominent roles and I think have become much more confident in what they can do. Hagler will still be the leader of this team, no doubt, but I see this team playing like the North Star of 2010 when they had 5-6 guys who could score 20 on any night. Even if you do have FW-M's defense, that's tough to guard.

First Round

NS vs NR-S
North Star by 25+

Carrington vs M-S
MagicStorm pull off the upset in this one. 43-42 OT

FW-M vs BC
Four Winds struggles early, pulls away in second half. Wins by 20

SJ vs H-WC
Close game throughout. 59-55.

Semi-Finals

NS vs M-S
I don't think North Star wins by 71 points this time. More like 31

FW-M vs SJ
St. John needs a fast start if they wanna stay in this one, if not it will be a long night for the 'Chucks. 71-55

Third Place
SJ vs M-S
SJ by 15

Championship
NS vs FW-M
NS in a close one, 75-74. Four Winds had a chance to win in the Ramsey Co. Tourney but couldn't get a shot off. They redeem themselves in this one but leave too much time for North Star as they squeak by.

LOL! I agree! FW-M will come up shorter than that this time. NS is playing much better TEAM ball now than they ever have. I am going to go out on a limb and say that Carrington causes some stress on a few in the region. Not really thinking their going to reach the final, but I think they cause some problems in the semi- final.

I was saying they (FW) get a shot off and take lead but leave too much time on the clock for North Star as they make a shot to win.

NS is going to have their hands full with Carrington today! They are a sleeper team that could possibly pull the upset tonight.

I still believe that Four Winds is going to be the Region 4 rep in the state tournament this year. Going back to the Ramsey County, I am not a whiner about refs, but at one point it was FW/M - 25 fouls and NS - 6 fouls, a little inconsisitancy could cost you a game, and it did!
