Rugby over NS?!?! a bold prediction haha, but i do have to say that Rugby played them tough during the regular season during that jamboree in December. So anything can happen i suppose.

North Star still has to get out of that region. FW-M will be a tough matchup also.

FW-M will be a hard team to beat. So North Star wont have it that easy.

Honestly, every region has multiple teams that are capable of going to State this year.

(slightly ordered by likelihood of State Trip)
Region 1: OG, CC, MV, Milnor, Enderlin
Region 2: Cavalier, Grafton, H-CV
Region 3: L-LM, L-HMB, S/Z, SB
Region 4: NS, FW-M, Carrington
Region 5: Shiloh, TL-M-M, Grant Cty, Flasher
Region 6: Rugby, DL-B, Berthold
Region 7: Beulah, DT, Hazen, HR, M-R
Region 8: Trenton, PL

Plenty of upsets are possible this year.

Hazen, Heart River, and Mott-Regent don't stand a chance.

If you are going to include SB in Region 3 then you have to include Strasburg who has 2 wins over SB and 1 over Linton.

I would have to agree. It's Trinity and Beulah, everyone else is fighting for 3rd. It would take a tremendous let down for another team to sneak in in Region 7. In other Regions Hazen Heart River would be right at the top...in my opinion. Oh Mott-Regent too.

I think people in Class B have the shortest memories....especially the ones who bang forums and blogs
I've always loved the old guys at the coffee shops when they talk about the district's and the regional and state tourns.
It doesn't take long to realize that Basketball is just a game and that between the favorite and the underdog its not as far as a person think it is. Is an upset really that big of a deal when it comes to 16, 17, 18 year olds?? nope and this is what the old boys know....they know that they are just kids playing a game and just like in real life certain events or situations or plans can be upset by uncontrollable circumstances.

I'll make a prediction...Beulah or Northstar don't make it to State ...(its just a prediction but just like the above written it doesn't matter, its not sad nor does it mean the state tourn didn't live up to expectations)......Class B north Dakota basketball is no different than the "Big Dance"....its unpredictable.....and its only on forums like this that people are saying "it would be sad if so and so dont make it"...."the 4th seed in so and so region would blast through the other 6 or 7 regions".

last but not least, the team that wins their last 6 games isnt the team that was supposed to.....its the team that FATE hit over the head... :)
If you can’t excel with talent, triumph with effort.
