My understanding after checking with tourney officials that the District seeding coming into tournament is what is used for seeding, even though PBK did beat CP first round. I could be wrong, but that is what I was told. So, as of now, switch those 2 around and it looks good.

I'm waiting to hear back from my informant on that...I know in our district the way I have above is correct. I will probably keep it the same until I hear back...

Run is correct. PBK gets higher seed because of win over CP.

Dist 7 isn't that way...Higher seed during the year, gets higher seed in the Region...EVEN if that team beat you in Districts...Doesn't make sense, but how it is...

I took the list from the NDHSAA website...so I believe that they should be played in this order.

FYI - In Region 6 - DLB will play Dunseith and Berthold will play W-N.

Confirmed -- Even though Westhope-Newburg BEAT Dunseith in the district tournament, Dunseith was the higher seed so Dunseith gets the 3-seed and Westhope is the 4. Someone needs to tell District 11 to change that. The confusion arises because District 12 follows the head-to-head result if they play during the tournament. D11 does not.

So CC pretty much walked through the District 2 tourney (granted MV lost to Kindred so the team a lot of people on here were picking to give them a fight never played them), will they even be tested at the Region? Maple Valley in a possible semi-final matchup? Anybody from the top half of the bracket? I've only seen CC play a few times this year, but they are scoring out of their minds and blowing people out of the water. Anybody interested in picking an upset? (or at least an interesting game somewhere along the way?)

does anyone else see a potential great game and upset with Strasburg-Zeeland over Edgeley Kulm? or is it just me? i think strasburg gon' unleash some KURLE BALLLLLL!!!!!

No upsets please! These boys deserve a trip to Grand Forks!

I'm not sure if Maple Valley has what it takes. Don't forget CC squashed them early in the season (I think it was something like 50 to 15 at half). I know it was a long time ago, but Maple Valley has not been impressive in my opinion - barely beating teams that are only "OK" and losing to Kindred in districts. They have a lot of work to do if they want to beat CC next week. I don't think it's gonna happen. Go Squirrels!

There have been two teams that have played Central Cass well this year: North Sargent (but they failed to make it to Regions) and Oak Grove (in the semifinals of the District Tourney...it was close until late in the 3rd quarter when CC went on a run to finish them off).

tournament play is always different so anything can happen. MV has put alot of pressure on themselves to win and they many have been looking past Kindred for the Monday night game against CC. I don't think it was a very well coached game by MV. Played zone and let Plankers get to the block all night make any team beat you from 18 not 5ft. Jack could have scored more but Kindred didn't feed him hard until the 4th. Preston is a good player but he can't defend that big guy in the low block. Also the box and 1 they put on hasleau shouldn't have worked. He just stood around in the first half and didn't get involved. T

Actually Run, Wyndmere-Lidg. lost by 11 or 12... i was at the game and it was tied until about the 5 min mark in 4th...

Region 7 could get exciting! All the teams are very very familiar with each other. Its going to be interest to see who comes out on top. Killdeer played HR tough in the regular season, if im not mistaken. If Volk isnt back for trinity, mott/reagent could squeak by, but if trinity has Volk, mott doesnt stand a chance. Hazen is going to beat BC, unless they dont show up and BC shoots the lights out of the building. Beulah and NE could go either way, beulah beating ne in the garrison tourney by 11, and if beulah gets past ne and hazen gets past bc, that will be the 4th time beulah and hazen have met this year, its hard enough to beat a team twice let alone three times. People grab a pop and some popcorn and buckle down this could be an interesting tourney in region 7. The question is.. Who wants it more?
