who appoints the reffing crew for Regional play-in games in the Regions (1,2,7) that are Super Region format?
and is the process the same for all 3 Regions in this format?

I can only speak for Region 7, they are assigned by the region. This year coaches could nominate and vote on officials for next season. The Region will try to get the 12 the coaches wanted.

Wem, I did not attend the Region Tournament, and do not know who is/was reffing the games you watched. Keep in mind that Class A East Region Girls & Boys tournaments are being held in Fargo, which is probably taking some of the area refs that would normally work Region 1 games. Throw in college games that high school refs work, along with State B Girls tournament and # of quality refs are stretched very thin. If you are a good referee, everybody is asking for you to work games in a large area.
It's been said before, and i'll say it again: the state is in dire need of basketball officials (actually officials in every sport). To anyone who criticizes officials, the registration can be found online at ndhsaa.com for you to prove that you can do a better job. I'm not calling you out specifically wem, but I know that it's hard to find quality officials, who are willing to be berated by crowds that more often than not have never read a rule book.
wem wrote:I'm not an idiot. I know what you guys are saying. But, obviously ive seen more region 1 games than you guys. I seen 2 refs in the stands better than 2 that reffed. There were also refs there that are 2nd to none. My fault for not mentioning that. If we are allowed , I would mention the very good refs, but don't no if I am allowed to do that. So for now my mouth is shut. Also, I would love to ref, but I can't.

Region 6, too.
And...Region 4 is off.

Region 6 is now postponed to Thursday at the Dome and Friday/Saturday at the Auditorium. Times all remain the same.
No, Saturday's games start at 1pm.
