I am gonna go with Kielpinski, Lafrance, Privratsky, Messer, and Kelsch for the first team.

Kielpinski for sure.  I've never seen any teams from the East play yet, who do they have the would be on the first team all-state.

you are right, she did, but privratsky is still the leading scorer, assist person, and steals getter in the state.

Trickey7: Every player has a bad night, and to be quite honest I have never heard of Schuler.  Not taking anything away from her - just stating it.

As far as privratsky - she is VERY good, don't get me wrong, but how many minutes does she play?  Starters from mandan and century are limited to 20 minutes a game because they blow out teams.  If Jessica Kielpinski or Andrea LaFrance were in the game for 36 minutes and played in the EDC, I think they would average a triple-double.  The teams in the EDC are weak compared to the competition in the WDA.  VC, Wahpeton, GFC, RR, North who?  South and DL are the only legitiment teams, and Shanley somewhat.  I do agree she should be a first team selection, but her numbers reflect the level of competition in the East, as well.

As far as the team:  Kielpinski, LaFrance, Privatsky for sure.  Fettig has a shot, Kelsch will make 2nd team, along with Steffan and Jossart.  Pattison from South and Sundheim possibly.  Maybe this Schuler girl?

Knife. . .at the dL game Privatsky didn't even really wanna guard cuz when she did Knife would take her down low and then bust from the outside when they switched. . .so i say Knife will be a shot for all-state

How can you put sundheim on the team if she is the second best player  on the minot high  team.

Who's better than sundheim on that team? I thought she avg 15-16 pts last year, but maybe I am mistaken.  Yeah, I'd agree with messer, but I would say second-team.

Amber Adams id say is better than Sundheim at least this year anyway she has shown me more than Sundheim.  Maybe things will change as the season goes on.

Paulson and Carew from Shanley won't have the stats that some others might have but they are very solid bb players.  Both are juniors, 6ft 1in, very athletic, quick for the height, can handle the ball, great passers, play tough defense, run the court (often being the first down the court on a fast break) and box out.  Paulson can shoot from the outside though not being asked to do so this year.  Carew stays in the lane most of the time where as Paulson plays inside and outside both on offense and defense.  Both will only get much better as the new coaches can work with them.  Things are mechanical now and instincts will take over.  Colleges are scouting them.  We'll see how far Shanley gets this year but I would rate these two up against the other posts/wings in the state.

You would rate them up against two and three-time all-staters? Where were they last year?

Paulson was all conference EDC and Carew was honorable mention EDC at Shanley.  Both were honorable mention in the Hoopster for this year.

Shaunna Knife, a sophmore from Belcourt has a very good chance of making the all-state team.  I believe if she can lead her team to a few victories this season she deserves it.  She is a tough player inside and out and honestly how many girls can keep up with her in the open court.
