Who ya got and why?

I'm goin with Shanley this game. I think home court advantage and the bus ride are the tie breakers here. Two good teams, should be a great game, but I think Shanley shoots better in their own gym than they did the first time around.

The game is on Friday, February 18 at 7:45. Shanley's gym. Should be for the all the marbles in the EDC (#1 seed to the winner).

It should be a very good game. It all depends on how well the posts for Shanley are able to contain Farroh. Both Anderson and Storandt have had good games this season but Farroh had a 20-20 game against them the first game this year.

Winner should be the favorite going into the conference tournament.

Shanley wins 52-45!

Sophie Kenney was dominant tonight and the Deacon defense shut Farroh down. Farroh scored 4 points and had roughly 16 boards (by my count).

First time I saw Farroh this year. I haven't seen the rebounding stats but I thought she had about 5 - 6 rebounds. If she had 16 then I wonder what game I was watching.

It was a tough game. That the Deacons were able to win without Rachel Weir even registering a point and Nicole Carew also struggling offensively was particularly impressive. I think that emphasizes the depth that team has.

An important note on Central: they were missing one of their starters. Courtney Hammer was not there. I do not know much about GFC but from what I hear she controls the rhythm of the offense even though she doesn't register much stat-wise. Anybody know where she was? Her sister was there...

Big game....4 points. How did Shanley stop her?

Lots of double teams...they would drop off of one girI (I forget who it was) and played a girl in front and behind Farroh. When the double wasn't there...Shanley's players were quicker one-on-one and were able to jump the pass and/or deflect it. Shanley had a great gameplan for the game and Kenney was dominant.

Central started out well, but it didn't get anything out of Farroh. Kenney and Fee both were dominant players, though Shaney was abe to focus on Fee more in the second half because of Farroh's foul trouble. Who wins the tiebreaker between these teams? It should be good matchup if teams meet again.

GFC holds the tie-break for the #1 seed if they end up with the same record as they beat Shanley by more then Shanley beat them.
