I was at the Turtle Mt. games at BHS on Saturday and witnessed some pretty poor sportsmanship from the BHS fans. School spirit is great and support for your team is important, but being obnoxious to the other team is totally classless! I know that Bismarck has an excellent athletic program and that most of their fans are good sports, but then, there are those fans that take the jeering to the worst level. Be a good fan, cheer your team with enthusiasm, but don't make personal attacks on the opposing team's players. Maybe alcohol testing could be done to the fans at the games? Sportsmanship.

I agree, there are fans that need to learn what sportmanship is all about. Like you said, school spirit is one thing, but mean spiritedness is another.
