Their coach moved to Minnesota, and a parent had to step up and coach. :) They will be much better next year.

Wasn't that parent a long time assistant coach?

We are definetly missing Greg Amundson. It's tough for anyone to fill his shoes. I think Mandan has a strong Freshman class and will probably need to build on that.

Century should be concerned. They got some help from the refs to cool off Dickinson in the 2nd half, but they really struggled. They could easily fall to Mandan today, and have to face TM to even get to state. Mandan did a nice job playing as a team to beat BHS, and have a great chance today if they can rotate in a lot of players for their press and stay out of foul trouble.

I really thought that Mandan had a chance, but they simply didn't look like they wanted it that bad. Didn't move well on their zone defense, and wouldn't box out at all. Century had too many 2nd and 3rd shots on each possession. Century never was able to blow them out, but Mandan never played with much intensity to make it interesting either.
