Mertens from Devil's Lake and Dehne from Fargo North also. There are probably even more names you could list. The junior class is loaded.

Sasha Golus Hands Down..20.1 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.5 spg, 4 bpg, and even shooting 54% from the Field. This is an amazing Junior. The other girls you listed are good too but this is the one i think is the toughest of all them.

Very nice numbers. Farroh's 25.1 ppg, 19.7 rpg, 6.0 bpg, and 3.6spg trump them though. Nothing against Golus, but I don't see how she is hands down the best junior. Roehrich is up there as well at, 22.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 4.3 apg, and 4.0 spg. This will be a fun Miss Basketball race.

I'm not sure I'd say "hands down". Roehrich is playing on a team with 2 other all state players. Put her on a team that would rely more on just her and she averages 30+ per night. I think South has 2 or 3 other players who also average double figures, which makes Roehrich's 22 ppg even more impressive.

Jasmine Moffett for South averages almost 10 a game...Krogh and Schnepf from WF have potential. Jacobs from Century is a stud and Govig and Jeske are good contributors. Meyer from Mandan.

Golus is one the best juniors if not the best overall remember one thing this kid does not ever hang her head in any situation. Even if a fall is committed she dont act any different or make any jestures just hustles back, this means a lot and says lots about all around game.

This class is very stacked. I'd go with Roehrich. She's always been a winner. Farroh's stats are straight stupid though. 25 and 20 is ridiculous. I'd like to see what she could do on a winning team. All of these kids have pretty good attitudes, that can't make one player better like the last post. However, we could work on our grammar a bit.

Jacobs, Govig, and Jeske from Century are sophomores.

Right now, I would say Roehrich and Farroh from the East and Pedersen and Golus from the West are the strongest juniors in the state. IMO, Roehrich is currently the best player in the state THIS year.

Farroh has played in a few less games than the other girls which helps her averages, but that being said 177 rebounds in 9 games is insane... Agreed that next year's Miss Basketball race is going to be tough to decide...

Also Balla45 you might remember this, did Golus lead the state in scoring and rebounding as a sophomore or a freshman? Can't remember for sure...

Maybe scoring, I know she did not in rebounding. Farroh averaged 14 as a freshman and 12 as a sophomore. I think Golus was first in scoring and second in rebounding last year as a sophomore, but don't quote me on that.

Yup Golus averaged 19.8 ppg and 10.1 rpg per game last season .... Roerich was second in scoring at 16.2 and Farroh was third in scoring at 12.1 and first n rebounding at 12.1....

Pedersen and Roehrich are the top 2 returning steals leaders. That junior class is very strong. It would be great to see all 4 of these players battle it out at the state tournament.

Golus now leads the West Region in scoring 20.5 ppg, rebounding 12.1 rpg and in blocks, 3.7 bpg and is second in FG% at 52.1%...

Still second fiddle by far to Farroh's numbers in the east.

We seem to forget that Golus plays along side of LaRocque, Davis and Allard - all of whom average double-figures. LaRoqcue was all WDA last season, and Davis and Allard are sure to be all WDA this year and Allard should be an all-stater as well. If you take away most of these numbers from these other three girls, Golus puts in over 30 a night - EASY! But the thing of it is, Golus can score 6 points a night (Just like she did against Century) and still work the hardest on the floor and be the happiest person in the locker room after the game, as long as her team won.

Golus has an awesome attitude. No one works harder than her! She WILL do what her team needs her to do to win and make it to state. The ultimate team player. She deserves all of the accolades that she gets. She is just part of the team and all of the girls that were mentioned work just as hard.

Who would you rather have on your team is the real question ? A great post or a great guard? IMO I would rather have the guard. That is were the game starts is with your guards. With great guards it opens your options on the offense side of the ball. You can post them up on the block, they can take the ball to the basket, shoot the jump shot ,but most importantly they control the game.

Golus eclipsed 1000 point mark?

At the Bismarck vs TM game in Belcourt they had awarded her something is this what it pertained to?

I believe she went over 1100 points the BHS game or close to...As far as who would I rather have, a guard or post? Well I think the old term is: "It's starts INSIDE - out"! Coaches refer to it all the time...The thing of it is, Golus don't wear a tag, she plays all FIVE spots on the floor every night, as well as guard all five positions on the floor,,,every night! Golus would for sure be the first girl I would pick to start a team, as well as all the coaches in the entire WDA, and I think the Devils Lake coach and Fargo North coach would agree with Mr.Fan, too!
