Bismarck loses at least four starters and one or two bench players. They are going to be very young and inexperienced. The team that I like is Mandan. They lose one key starter but they have some depth to replace her. They are a well coached team and they play well as a team. If you ever want to see a team with good fundamentals play, then go see Mandan. Mandan is my favorite team to watch.

dickinson also will have a strong team and of course CHS will be out for the win. the have all returning starters.
but BHS was looked over last year and viewed as the underdogs and they won state. you never know what they will pull together for this year.

And you'll be a decent poster when you learn how to spell ROAD! LoL I don't usually point out incorrect spelling but you so emphatically said it, that I had to correct you. Yeah Turtle Mountain does need to play better on the road, it's important for every team. I think they will be much better in that area this season. I believe they are a little deeper at the guard position and you need good ball handlers to deal with the pressure on the road...

Century does not have all 5 starters back! didnt Tricia Sorensen start last year?? I think So. I know summer tournaments are not big indicators on how the regular season will go but Fargo South beat Century by 25 pts in a tournament in the cities! Century had their entire team at this tournament, South was missing their starting post player.

u all are all countin out minot. there soph team last yr only lost 2 games and that was 2 century. they have a good bunch of young talent. they got a sophmore this year thatll prob start she can shoot. id be watchin them in the west. my prediction for state from the wda is:
1)Century
2)BHS
3)Mandan
4)Minot

To be realistic Minot will not crack the top 4. The top 4 will be Century, Belcourt, Dickinson, and Mandan.

South will always be good and they will be the favorite again. Red River should be good and DL seems to step it up every year. Shanley will compete and maybe finish in the top two or three. Things will even out more once Davies opens.
You gotta believe

Century is a very good team. The teams that I posted may not necessarily finish in that order. This is the WDA and any team can beat another on any given night. The other 5 teams not mentioned are not pushovers by any means!

WOW nope there is no way bhs beats chs cuz chs has a strong team and they have a deep bench so their solid starters can come out and get some rest and with METZ as a coach you cant go wrong

What part of that does it say bhs beats chs?

yeah he was talkin about south. and i'm sure a lot of people thought BHS wasn't gonna beat century last year either but lets refresh our memories....BHS beat century in the semi-final game last year. Its only the beginning of the season..i predict top four to be..in no special order
BHS
CHS
Dickinson or Belcourt
Mandan

belcourt will also be great this year.

lol....You can't predict the top four and then choose 5 teams. Top 4 in ranking order.
1. CHS
2. Belcourt
3. Mandan
4. Dickinson

Sorry BHS but they have a new coach and not alot of varsity experience. CHS split with Belcourt last year. Belcourt does have a good coach and quality players to challenge CHS for the top spot. CHS did loose Sorenson which will have a big impact. Without her CHS does not have a decent outside threat so everyone will pack it in. They are weak on ball handling. Mandan is always good in fundamentals. Don't doubt that they will probably have some Freshman or Sophmore that will make an impact. They have a strong freshman class. Look for Peterson and Vander Wal to dominate. Dickinson has Herauf who is a very talented athlete. Mandan and Dickinson will compete for 3rd.

East - Heard Red River will give Fargo South a run for their money. ?? Is it true?

I agree that Sorenson is a big loss for CHS, and it will be interesting to see if they get anyone to shoot the 3 like she did. I think Dickinson will be the 3rd team in the WDA and Mandan and BHS will battle for the 4th spot. If Amundson was running the show, Mandan would be a bigger threat because they do have some talent with their underclassmen.

In the EDC, both Grand Forks teams could give South a challenge. The sleeper could be Shanley.

Century has a lot of talent returning and BHS might not be settling the best with the new coach, but it is to early to tell. This rivalry will be fun to watch this year.
