Mandan lost. they were on a 63 home game win streak, pretty impressive. from what the paper says they didnt shoot very well.jamestown defense must have been good last night.

Girls

1. Fargo South (7) 14-0 1 35

2. Bismarck Century 11-2 2 27

3. Bismarck 9-3 3 22

4. Jamestown 8-3 4 12

5. Mandan 8-6 5 9

With a Century loss, looks like South is finally the unanomous #1

south is a very talented team. they seem to be crushing every team. but red river has one some games in a row and they even have a pretty good student section for girls games. most schools dont have that.

1. Fargo South (9) 16-0 1 45
2. Bismarck 13-4 3 36
3 (t) Bismarck Century 14-3 2 22
Jamestown 12-4 4 22
5. Grand Forks Central 13-4 NR 6

Others receiving votes: Mandan, Turtle Mt.-Belcourt

The west is absolutely crazy. I think that BHS, Century, Jamestown, Mandan, and TM can beat each other on any given night. Its weird not having Mandan in there because it is so misleading. You just know they will be in the fight come tournament time.

Mandan is definitely the wildcard in Class A. BHS and Century absolutely have no answer for Collins, and South nevers plays them so its hard to say how they would do. The West will be strong going into State because of the level of competition they have had to face all year.

I did notice in the last girls poll that only one team from the West was represented. What would they have based that on? I can see Fargo South but I don't see the East as dominating the West to the extend of 4 of the top 5 places.
