ECI West Girls B-Ball (Good Summer)

The ECI West girls basketball team has had a good summer.
They got 2nd place in a tournament in Las Vegas last week and now 2nd place in a tournament at San Diego.
Super job girls.

ECI had success with a few of their teams. Its a great program. Hammer from Grand Forks Central played ECI and placed in the records for 3 ptrs at the Miss BB Tourney held in Nebraska

This is a great program but we (ND) need to get more people involved with the program to promote BB like we promote hockey in this state... He have alot of good players from ND to promote.

I agree. I wonder how many sponsors there really are that would be interested in promoting BB. Some of the other states have corporate sponsors and the girls that play on these teams have to try out at 3 or 4 different levels. Once they make the team, these girls are able to travel with the team and get some great experience.
ECI has grown substantially this past few years. I know there are girls that want to play basketball, and some who are committed to playing serious basketball on the teams this past year. I hope this program will be able to provide for both types of players.
It's refreshing to see that a large number of the players listed as the top returning 25 or so girls in Class A & B played ECI this summer. Hopefully this will help them gain more credibility and substance to their program!

I don't know the exact details, but in Vegas, the West team and the East team both made it to at least the semis I think. I know the West won a game like 90-15 and the East a game something like 70-7. The girls team is very legit.
