I think Lexi Braun is a very good player,  too bad she doesnt have alot to play with, if she was playing on a team that had a couple of other threats to go with her she would be even better!  with that said she is GOOD.

You have some good choices there.  I wouldn't count out Mara Paulson, though.  She played all summer with ECI select West along with Privatsky, the Feeneys, Messer, and Shauna Knife.

Paulson is good in the post, runs the court better than just about every post in the state, and can shoot lights out when she is hot.  She has been all-conference two years in a row...she is not an AVERAGE player.

Shanley is considered the consensus EDC favorite yet from the sound of things here they don't have players.  Carew is going DII if she wants to.  Paulson will be playing college bb.  Pollard was 2nd in the EDC last year in shooting percentage.  Looks like Shanley has some bulletin board material when they play South this year!

or the 2-3 center behind dale and possibly messer

EDC
Bullentin Board material?? because I dont think Paulson is one of the top two posts in the state....PLEASE  South has 3 starters back, Stroup, Burck, and Haring, with Anstadt also back, and I do believe they won the EDC tournament last year! and their JV team lost only one game...  so I think they have some good players coming back also, but I dont go on here and toot their horn every chance I get...but your right about Carew she has the potential to be a good college player.

Who is the best center in the state right now?  Doesn't have to be on the best team but one-on-one would dominate.

It would be one fun tournament to watch to pit Anstadt, Paulson, Carew, Messer all against each other.

I'd take Messer.  From the box scores I saw this summer in Sioux Falls she did very well.

She's a good shooter and a threat anywhere on the floor.  She shot 6/14 beyond the arc last year according to the WDA website.

Did Anstadt play this summer?  What is her stats?  Did she make the EDC all-team?  I haven't heard much about her.

she played this summer....but South does there own stuff.  She was not all EDC because south had two 6-2 giant girls that played down low so anstadt didnt get much recognition as a junior, but she will be a force for south this year.

At this point, she doesn't appear to be comparable.  According to their stats on the EDC website she only averaged 3.9 points per game and 3 rebounds per game.  To be in the top 5 picks, their are other players who have proven they can play.

I'd still pick Messer.  The other 4 picks (Privasky, Collins, Braun and Feeney) are returning All-Staters.  If Feeney was the Center and Braun the Forward, then as small forward who's the best??? Finely? Dale? The 5th pick is hard.

no one put her in the top 5....just said that she is one of the better posts and would be a force in a game of one on one with the posts
