Is Mandan gonna win again this year, or is someone going to pull the upset?

I haven't seen shanley this year, but I personally don't believe they can compete with mandan.  If any team does it, it will be century.  Otherwise they can start making 5-peat shirts.

any type of repeat is hard but a 5-peat is amazing and i am one of those who hopes it doesnt happen and i would like to see century or perhaps devils lake from the east.

i definitely agree...............if anyone team has a chance, it will be one of these three teams:

1. Devils Lake

2. Shanley

3. Century

from the East I think Devils Lake or Shanley just might be able to do it, if things click for either team.

it all comes down to how much better mandan is than the teams from the east. west teams havent played east teams yet, so we don't know what to expect come the state tournament. i think shanley, devils lake, and possibly south will play better against the west than most people will give them credit for. i still dont think its enough for anyone to beat mandan.

I think overall Wahlin is a much better player, she is getting looked at by much bigger colleges, Notre Dame has entered the picture now and is in the running.  She is playing with the best girls AAU team from Minnesota this summer, so that will be interesting to see if she gets noticed by the best of the best, cause she has always just played with her teammates and never on these AAU teams, she is probaly the best girls PG this area has seen in 20 years.  I wouldn't be suprised if the really big programs come after her after this summer, like Texas, UNC, UConn, but already Iowa st, Iowa, Kansas, Purdue, UND, NDSU, Louisville have all been at games this year. Privatsky would be gret for UND cause no way Wahlin is going there.  And she is Wahlin, not Whalen like the Gophers, they are not related buddy

You keep spouting about how good MN basketball is and how bad ND is, then why did Mandan's AAU team, Prairie Shooters, beat North Tartan (the team Wahlin in going to be on this year) by 18 points last summer?  No one is going to think any higher of Wahlin because your nonsense.

Why wouldn't you want a 5-peat its just amazing to even say 5 state championships in a row.....WOW, and I think it would be like 7 of the last 9 i think?

It is great for the state, but it is human nature to root for the underdog if the favorite is not your team.

When a program knows how to win it is infectious and very hard to be the team to knock them off.  It seems the top teams from both sides of the state are good because of their defense.  I can't wait to see how they match up.  I think the Deacons match up well on the outside and inside against Mandan.  I hope we get to see that matchup.
