Any thoughts on how the WDA girls tournament may turn out? Bismarck has had the most success at not beating themselves, but they have come close.

This is so challenging after Bismarck.

Century has struggled a bit with Turtle Mountain. Minot, Jamestown, and Mandan have pretty solid starting line ups, but have almost no depth, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out on the third day of the tournament.

Balla, I was hoping for some clearer insight from you, but that's how I see it too. Even Bismarck struggled with Jamestown who simply got caught off guard by the fact that they could have won it.

I think this happens...

Round 1

Bismarck - Dickinson/Williston - Blowout win
Bismarck Century - Saint Mary's Central - Blowout win
Minot - Turtle Mountain - I will go Minot in the win. I think they are going to be able to score more consistently due to Askvig's presence around the rim.
Mandan - Jamestown - I will go advantage Jamestown simply because I think Paige Peterson is going to be too tough to slow down. She is averaging 25 points and 18.5 rebounds against Mandan. That's too much to overcome.

Round 2

Bismarck - Jamestown - Bismarck wins big. Peterson likely plays a 36:00 game in the first round. Engelhardt and Trolliey are too much. BHS has a solid 5 players who are double figure threats where JHS has 2-3.
Bismarck Century - Minot - Century wins big. Minot has not shown the ability to compete with Century.
Mandan Dickinson/Williston - Mandan wins in a blowout.
Turtle Mountain - Saint Mary's Central - Turtle Mountain wins in a blowout.

Round 3

Bismarck - Bismarck Century - Bismarck wins. Depth is key.
Turtle Mountain - Mandan - Mandan wins.
Minot - Jamestown - Minot wins. Peterson and Orr have probably played every minute of the tournament so far.

Idk who they will beat, but I think Jamestown will be in the state tournament.

In your scenario balla45, wouldn't Minot and Jamestown cross brackets ? Therefor Mandan would play Minot and Jamestown would play Belcourt in round 3. Always thought loser in semi's switched brackets ?
