EDC All-Conference Selection Process

Postby gobison » Tue Mar 08, 2011 9:48 am

I can't stand how there has to be at least one person from each team on the All-EDC Team. Its like saying that every single person on it would start on a top team like Shanley or North.

There doesn't have to be.....the coaches vote for the top players doesnt matter on the team. The girls didn't get one from every team.

Baller is correct, and the coaches actually nominate the players from their team that they think are worthy of an all conference selection.
Just a thought, but maybe your kid wasn't nominated.

I do not have a child in high school.

You are saying that the best player from a bad team is better than (or would start in front of) the third or fourth best player on a top team.

Where did this come from? No one suggested that. In some cases the best player on a bad team is better than 3rd or 4th best player on a top team. In other cases he is not.

Look at Joe Hanstad from Dickinson. Everyone claims that he is the best player in the state, and he hasn't played at State since his sophomore year, and missed most of his senior year.

This topic should be changed. If you think a player got snubbed talk to the head coach at your school. They are the ones who decide this at the coaches meeting. If a player didn't make it is because the coach didn't lobby for them.
