Think it will depend on how the last five games go, right now I'd say Shultis (Fargo North).

Either Shutlis (north) or Hendrickson (south)

Scott Hurlimann from Valley City. He and his team have came out and stunned the EDC this year after being expected to finish 10th. They could be on their way to be hosting a first round game for the EDC tournament.

I agree...if VC finishes the season strong he should receive the award.

I also agree that Hurlimann has given VC some direction. When do they vote?

No disrespect but VC will most likely end 8-10

If VC goes to North and gets the upset and they end up winning out, which would put them at 11-7, then I would also say that Scott Hurlimann should win the award

Ok 11-7 looks good. But when you consider 5 of those wins are against B schools it makes you 6-7 against A schools. That is just an average to below average year to me. No coach should be awarded for being average. Just my opinion havent seen them play yet until tonight when they play North.

I to have a hard time giving coach of the year to a coach to which a portion of those wins are to schools that they should beat. Right now Shultis should be the favorite. Hendrickson should be in the discussion.

The problem with Shultis is that North is where everyone predicted they would be. South is better, but no way Henrickson gets coach of the year. VC is doing much better than predicted, but with a losing EDC record, Hurlimann probably won't win. Shanley is underperforming to their talent. Gregory at RR probably has the team that is outperforming right now.

I think Shanley was predicted to be 1 in most of the polls I seen. So North is not where they are suppose to be they are better than they predicted. Shultis has adjusted to his players style of playing very well and learned to loosen the reigns and let them play. That is why he is one of the better coaches in the conference. I like West Fargo's coach as well seems to always get the maximum effort from whatever he has. I dont think they have much talent but he gets them ready and puts in the time scouting other teams I have seen him at almost all of Norths games.

Does anyone know who votes on this? I think the coaches vote but can't vote for themselves.

Coaches vote.
Shanley was definitely expected to be #1.
