who do ya think is the best team and why?


I'll take the 2008 BHS demons. All 5 starters were all-conference caliber had they not played together an martinez had the ability to take over a game at any time.

Fargo North and Devil's Lake of 2006.

Erdmann as a senior and Jordan May as a sophomore on this very solid Fargo North squad. Devil's Lake did not win the title, but Mertens, Mertens, Hunt, etc. were all surpremely talented.

Fargo North 2002 and 2003.

2002 team featured 2 Mr. Basketball winners.

Williston in 2005. Hennessey, Qvale, Bondy. Probably other solid players on this team that I am forgetting.

Bismarck in 2005? Engelhardt, Thunshelle, York, Wilhelm, on and on. This is also a surpremely talented team.

I think I go with the 2002 Fargo North team followed by the 2005 BHS team.

I think it's easily the 2002 Fargo North team. They have an argument to be the best ever in the state. They crushed their opponents. There werent many close games vs/ them that season. They finished undefeated and won all of their games in the state tourney by double digits. They were a college team playing high school.

Andy Leer was also on that Williston team. I'd consider him to be one of the better players on that team.

North of '02-'03 for sure.
