1. stats are easily comparable.
2. irrelevant, many reasons why it is irrelevant, kind of self explanatory and I am getting the sense you know next to nothing. just an example: justin shock is 6'8" from west fargo and he has done nothing compared to BK.
3. A rowdy crowd leader at North, who most likely plays zero sports, has seen him 5x? how may i ask? And even if you have, I would venture to say that you probably wouldn't be the best evaluator on a good player. Everytime you compare players you talk about stats and stats only. Stats dont tell the whole picture.

As a sophmore vs. North
As a junior @ North and his 3 state games last year.
Nothing this year.
Just because I dont play basketball means I know nothing? I was one questioning North's defense after the WF loss Saturday. They ran a defense in the 2nd half that they havent ran all year and gave Nelson/Schock wide open shots the whole half.
and if you were wondering I do play baseball.

But you are right, since I cheer for North AND I dont play basketball I probably cant evaluate a game or a player very well. How dumb was I to actually have an opinion, my bad!!!!!

For me listening to your opinion on Sav is tough because you force it onto others, and I swear out of your 251 posts 248 of them are talking up North or Nik and when you're so one-sided you can't take what that person says with as much consideration as the multitude of others disagreeing.

It's because everything I say is literally disagreed with. Just defending my opinion.

And you could just look at them, but I was just criticizing Norths defense Saturday against WF.

I don't think Byran is better than Nik. I'll give Savageau the edge on that, but then how are you not biased if you think Savageau is just as good as Hanstad?

Bryan is 6'8'' in North Dakota. Nik is probably the quickest guard in North Dakota. I can easily say that both of them were born with an inherent advantage. Height is a skill. So is quickness. I don't know why you said this.

If the first round goes North's way, Nik is MVP. Probably. It didn't. Again, this doesn't matter. Bryan's state tournament was more impressive than Savageau's, and he got the win, that is why he got MVP. This actually bothers me. Because Bryan won, you use this against him. Wow.

As a sophomore, BK had double figure points, 8 rebounds, 10 blocks, and won by 26. Nik had 4. Who won this battle?
As a junior, Savageau outplayed BK at North, but Thilmony played even with Savageau, and Thilmony is playing at BSC, with his best offer being Minot State. What does this say?
As a junior at state, BK won the battle.

I don't understand where you were going with any of your posts.

I never said I wasnt biassed towards Nik, and atleast I can admit it.
I actually dont remember much from any of those 5 games except for the state championship, the point was I have seen Bryan play. The first game at Mandan I believe was Nik's first vars game and same with BK? so that doesnt mean anything to me.
BK doesnt "battle" Savageau. BK beat Akers and Wehri.
How did I use the state tourney MVP against him?? you must have misunderstood what I was saying because obviously state tourney MVP isnt a bad thing.

The north @ mandan and Mandan @ north games, both over a year ago.

Back to the state tournament.

Bismarck-South
Bismarck by over 15.
Mandan-Shanley
Mandan by over 15.
Century-North
North by less than 10, before game ending fouls.
Minot-West
Overtime game.

What are other opinions?

Bismarck and Mandan big. I just can't decide with the other two.
Minot has been great lately so i gotta pick them as well.
As for Century, there D should keep them in the game, so if the guys can step up and knock down shots, I think they will pull it off as well.

Mandan is going to destroy Shanley simply because Dylan Dunn will not stop BK.
I dont give South much of a chance either. 20 point game at half.
Century has a lot of size on North, probably a lot closer than many think.
Ill take WF since both defenses are good, but Ill give the edge to WF.

I don't dispute your analysis- what I would ask is, from your point of view, what would you do if you had Shanley's dilemma? That is, what strategy do you think gives them the best chance to neutralize a huge height disadvantage down low?

Hard nose defense. Sale out to your defense. You really can't stop BK, (he'll stop himself as in the Bis game)you just try to curve his approach to the basket or him getting the ball.

I know this might be off topic but going back to some old posts when roundem stated that north just stood around and watched sav try to beat west fargo alone. He got that from schultis saying that in the fargo forum, which makes me question him as a coach. If he only trusts one player on his team and does not give credit to the rest of team i feel like that is not very coach of the year material. And when you say everyone stood and watched? Nick Schultz 12 points 18 rebounds 4 blocks 3 steals
