Anyone see an upset in the first round..

Williston might have a chance to overtake Century..The balance of the games should go to higher seeds

Mandan was in exact same position last year and had to hold off the #8 seed..JTown..

Dix may give them some trouble..but with good post and guard play they should come out on top..Dix just too inconsistent with little or no help for Joe all season long !!

I don't think you can say Joe gave them no help. Just his presence on the floor, changes the game. There is not a team in the WDA that does not have a game plan specially for Joe. Sign of an impact player!

you are exactly right on the money with teams having respect for Mr Hanstad..But as many of the games have indicated this season..he is getting his 25-30 and teammates are not always rising to the occasion and contributing..thus the under .500 record..Still he is legit and have to keep that as a focus when playing Dix !!

Bismarck and Mandan are locks. Century will most likely make it. I'd go with Minot as a sleeper to grab the 4th spot.

King LeBron is correct Bismarck and Mandan are locks as well as Century but expect Jamestown to sneak in there as a sleeper.

The games to watch in the first round will be Jamestown-Minot and Century-Williston. It could get very interesting with who win and loses...

but its hanstad anyways has moody and abramson fallen off the charts

Looking at game totals it has been very frequent that Moody/and/or Abrahamson have contributed enough to help Hanstad out..They did do it against an inferior defensive teram in Turtle Mt in the play in game..But against foes with lock down defensive players they have had troubles..

I wouldn't neccessarily count St. Mary's out of it. They have been playing well lately, beating Century, Dickinson by 40+, and losing to Mandan by only 5. They are not a bad team right now.
