belcourt could be a surprise, very fast team, they will full court press the entire game. should be pretty good this year.

I agree, belcourt will be one of the sleeper teams this year in wda, they have a good chance of making it to state. When they are on from behind the arc, they are a tough team to stop.

Yeah I concur, Belcourt will be up there.  They will surprise a lot of teams and could finish top 4.  Plus their place is one of the hardest gyms to play at in the state.

i agree they will be a surprise but it's one of the toughest gyms because of the refs not necessarily the team.

Obviously, plus it's so dark in there and the fans are loud and in your face all game.

Belcourt will be a surprise team with Shawn Knife being a threat scoring and getting some big steals on defense... that kid is a play maker...

Jamestown has a chance to be a suprise team in the west and could do a lot of things, since none of the teams have really seen them play lately.

Speaking of Jamestown, Jordan Gengler has grown to about 6'4" amd athletic, so watch for him this season to come out of the blue.

this will probably sound mean, but it isn't intended to be...it is more a prayer that the season won't be as miserable and long as last season.

i hope that the blue jays only hit the side of the backboard once a game.

Yes they return like all of a team from last year that went 2-20...with their only 2 wins coming against a team that shouldn't be in class A basketball - Valley City...I think the two school should combine...and you know what ...they still probably wouldn't compete...

Not being mean or nothing but Jamestown returns a bunch of players from a team that lost all the time.  They also don't have a stud on there team like almost every other WDA team.  I really don't think they are gonna surprise anybody because they just don't have the overall talent the rest of the schools have.  The freshman class at Jamestown is pretty good but there sophomore and juniors leave alot to be desired.  I think the only player on Jamestown that could start on a decent team (BHS,DHS,MHS,Minot,Belcourt) would be Luke Heck, and I think Williston is good, I left them out because I don't think he could start over Qvale.  I could be wrong and they might surprise me but I do not see them as being a very good team this year.

All I've got to say is December 5th Mandan.  Talk all you want, you guys all seem to be quite good at it on here.

This is really dumb.  I would love to see J-Town beat Mandan this year but I doubt it's gonna happen.

my pick for most improved team will be Valley City. How can you not improve after last year? New coach, new system. Things are looking up.

I can agree with that. Valley has talent, they didnt play any of the players who shouldve been playing most of the time last year.
