I Dont think You can say the east was better when in the first round it was almost a west sweep.  Out of top 4 there was one east team! MAN THAT EAST JUST ROCKED THIS YEAR! Id hate to see the final scores at state if east had a bad year!

I guess the 4 teams in the NCAA  Final 4 are the best 4 teams in the country?? I dont think so, they had a great tourney but they are not the 4 best teams!!

Anything can happen at tournament time, if we played the state tournament over there might have been 3 east teams in the simi finals... 

Final Class A poll I think was Devils Lake #1, Minot #2, South #3, West Fargo #4, and North #5,  THATS 4 EAST TEAMS OUT OF 5!!!!

I think that there is a reason why there are 4 East teams in the final poll of the year, because the poll looks at the best records. If the East is so strong, then there shouldn't be four teams on the top of the poll, because that means that the four east teams just beat all the lower east teams because the East is very top heavy. However, the West has very competitive basketball and teams in the west are more evenly balanced from top to bottom in the conference.

That is just dumb to say that if we played the state tournament again the east would do better.  The west proved that they are better overall then the east. The final poll doesnt prove anything.  Thats why we have a postseason.

Other than the state tournament the only games played between the two conferences was the Christmas tournament,  North was 2 -1, South was 2 - 1 and West Fargo was 3 - 0 against the WDA teams!!  So how can you say the West was way better?  thats just plain stupid!  North Dakota Class A basketball is great !! there were good teams in both leagues, but to say the WDA was a better league is wrong.

One more thing,  Fargo North finished 4th in the EDC, and won state!! what does that say about how good the EAST was this year?  and I think they beat the best team from the west in Minot by a big margin!!

The west won more games at state, yes the east has the best team in the state.  But the west is better overall then the east.  South also lost to Dickinson at the holiday tournament and they didnt even make state.

Dickinson lost to Mandan to, they didnt make state either.  Your last argument didn't really say much.  Considering were not comparing east to east.

You had a team from the east and a team from the west in the State Championship. Thats what everyone wants to see. I think most people actually wanted to see Devils Lake vs. Minot just because of #1 vs 2. To say the west is better than the east, or east better than the west isnt a good arguement either way.

obviously no one thinks Devils lake will do good next year yes they wont be the best but they wont do to bad either

Yeah, I agree Devils Lake will do ok next year. They have a good soph class (going to be Juniors). Some of them will need to hit the wieghts hard though.
