i wish the east-west classic would have taken place this year, it was nice to see what the other side of the state had to offer.  but now we'll just have to wait until the state tournament which is pretty exciting.

My predictions for the 4 teams that will represent the west in fargo in march: (not in any order)- 1. Williston  2. Dickinson 3. Bismarck 4. Mandan

Mandan should get the nod over Bismarck.  Mandan has 3 wins 0 losses over teams currently rated while Bismarck has 1 win and 2 losses to those teams.

Plus if you look at games between those 4 teams in the WDA Williston is 2-1, Dickinson 1-2, Mandan 2-1, Bismarck 1-2.  I can see Dickinson getting the bump over Mandan because they have a better overall record but since Mandan and Bismarck have equal 7-4 overall records I'd rate Mandan higher.

Mandan could have beat bismarck also but they didnt it came down to a Technical.. Mandan should be able to beat bismarck at home and they will have a test tommorrow again against Williston. They have a chance to knock the #1 team off again for the 3rd time.

Its because they lost 2 non-conference games. Which doesn't mean anything, yah it would be great if they would have picked them up, but they are still 5-2 in the west which is good enough to put them pass BHS, which hasn't proved to even come close to dickinson or williston.

Early season losses and the loss to Belcourt make it tough to call Mandan the undisputed #1.  East voters might throw Shanely out as the #1.

Mandan should be 1......there is no way that shanely will be 1 just becuase they couldn't beat dix, williston, or mandan. the east is very weak this year, the polls will be west dominated for the rest of the year.

I think Mandan deserves to be number one after beating a team rated number one three times this season

They should be number one but we will just have to wait and see what happens. If they arent then I would like to know what it takes to be the number 1 team in the state. They are in sole possesion of first place in the WDA.
