Shanley just beat Wahpeton tonight.  With wins against South and West Fargo, I think it is time to give the Shanley boys a little respect.  Should get a few votes in the state poll.  Looks like both the boys and girls have a great chance to get to state.  Shanley is riding high and having fun!

Shanley boys (are girls) are alone on the top of the EDC after DL loss tonight and Shanley's win over Red River.  Didn't some make fun of Shanley's chances this year?   Shanley - the smallest school in Class A!  Enjoy while it lasts.

with the successful seasons both shanley teams are enjoyin this year, where does everyone feel they should be placed if the state changes the class system?...I say keep them at the top.

Shanley is looking good and confident in their ability and team chemistry, and with an easy game next up on the schedule vs. Grand Forks Central, the focus will be on Devils Lake, as they travel to play Shanley on Friday, January 26.

Go Deacons!!!!!

Actually, they have a new head coach this year, Leon Knodle. He is a teacher in Sullivan Middle School, which is physically connected to Shanley High School. This is his first year coaching varsity and he, might I add, is doing a great job.  The Deacons are #1 in both guys and girls, with the girls having a record of 8-0 and the guys having a record of 7-1. Both teams, especially the guys at home, or in fact anywhere, are very clutch.

I definitely agree that those three players are clutch, but you can't forget about Adam Schwankl. When he gets hot, he keeps it going.

schwankl is far too streaky, didn't have any points against RR. Bergesson, Elias, and Jagim desrve the most credit for they have produced day in and day out.

Well, they are definitely a force to be reckoned with, they are #1 in EDC and either #2 or 3 in state.  They have a big game against Devils Lake this Friday, which is a much anticipated game. When Shanley played at Devils Lake in week 2, they lost by 14 points, but they were not at the top of their game, it was an off night. During their Christmas Tournament, they played DeLaSalle and only lost by 9 points. The Islanders were the champions of Class 2AA in Minnesota.

Shanley hasn't played a western dakota conference team yet, but they definitely have the weapons to compete, particularily Bergerson, Elias, and Jagim. Our crowd is very rowdy and can definitely turn the game around when our team is down, which happened against GFRR.

I can't wait until we play a WDC team at the state tournament. It should be interesting.

its just an idea we came up with we call it the ref crew.  But you have to admit that the officiating in that game was horrible.

it was kind of bad both ways.................u should've seen the South game though

we got a lot of crap calls.............one of them got our whole student section to boo

Dustin Herrmann locked arms with Dan Bergerson while going after a rebound and Dan was throwing his arms up in the air trying to get his arms free and Herrmann was flailing around and threw Dan to the ground...........they called the foul on Bergerson
