After Mandan beat Williston friday it proves that there a decent amount of teams in both conferences who can be beat one another on any given day.  Whoever gets hot down the stretch and catches a few breaks will probably come out on top in MArch.

it's always been up for grabs, the wda is so competitive, anything can happen. it always comes down to who's playing their best ball and who can execute when it matters most

Until last nights game, most people thought that williston would walk to the state championship and win it easily.  If you dont believe me look at the Mandan @ Williston forum, "Is it possible?", no one was giving anyone besides williston serious thought

although the win for Mandan last night shows how crazy the WDA can be, I still have a hard time putting anyone past Williston at this point. Their only other loss was to Glendive...who happen to also have a 6'11" kid.  And the decisive victories over Bismarck and Dickinson show that unless someone finds a way to stop a kid who is nearly 7' there's  not a lot of hope in the WDA.  Regardless of the fact that DHS will probably be the new number 1 in the state, they're going to have to show up in Williston in a few weeks and show that it was a fluke the first time to change minds.
