Who do you think should be all state, as of what you have seen so far?

All-State is pretty wide open right now every team in the west but 2 has two potential all-staters with. But kick, qvale, heck, elgie, and knife have a good cahnce of making the teams from what i have seen from so far. All are averaging nearly a double double early in the season and their teams are winning

I disagree...Mertens will be voted ahead of Heck because his team is winning.  Heck is putting up very good numbers, leading the WDA in scoring i believe, but his team will not be successful this year.  Mertens is a very tough player on both sides of the court he has and will be a great leader for DL.

I think that mertens is good enough for the team

how would you take knife and elgie over mertens?  When DL played Belcourt, mertens held knife to 12 points while he had 24 points and 10 boards, plus dl won.

Knife should make this team. . .Knife hadn't practiced the two days before they played DL. . .and with a balanced offense like belcourt, they don't really give knife the ball. . .i wonder why they don't but he'll get his and be on this team. . .and yea he had 12 points but but a 12 rebounds as well so another double double. . .He has a double double in pretty much every single game so far so i dont' see why. . . .

I'm not sure if he should be on the team but Tanner Farkas from West Fargo should definately be considered along with Mertens.

Knife is going to be there night in and night out if shutting him down is him scoring 12 pts. that is a testament to how good he is mertens is mostly likey going to be an all-state player three spots are set in stone unless they get injured the last 2 are up for grabs belhavolek(butchered his name), knife, elgie, and mertens but all would be deserving at the end of the season

Well Knife didnt overly dominate vs St. Mary's tonight, seems like he would of vs them.

Tonight was Belcourts 1st win at SM since 96, if anybody cares.

a good player doesnt dominate st marys that usually shows you are a bad player if you score alot against a bad team

So if next Saturday Qvale scores 40 against SM, that means he isnt any good then?  I'm not getting what you're saying?

it doesnt make that much sense. I dont think it is relevant about how many points a player puts up against a poor team to be judged as a good or bad player.

a good player doesnt feel the need to score 30 points against a bad team a good player gets his team involved in a game like that

Knife had passes the ball quite a bit tho if you watch him. . .he knows when he to shoot and when to dish it off. . .i mean he's averaging a double doulbe so far and he really only plays half the game. . .

I believe that if Knife plays like he has been this weekend against Bismarck Century and High which are both "quality" teams people will finally give him credit for being as good as he is.
