WOW. I've never seen that in high school before.

How many states use this?

Good. This is very necessary.

My guess is ND is the first one. ND isn't afraid of change when it comes to stuff like this: shot clock/18 minute halves.

This will change the look of the game. I see alot more blocking fouls being called.

I don't like this change for hs bb. Sometimes I think we go overboard trying to make the hs game look like college or pros. I see no need for this at the hs level.

I see this as a complete waste of paint. There is no call for this in ND high school basketball. We don't have athletes leaving the court 8-12 feet from the hoop.

Even though I don't know what you mean by "leaving the court", this is a necessary change. Past years, players would plant themselves around the paint looking to step in front of a ball handler. This will make teams play more defense.

Our kids are becoming a lot more athletic. I think that the defense too often gets bailed out by officials that call a charging foul even when the help defender is way underneath the hoop. d_fense we do have some athletes that can "leave the court" from 8 feet and get to the hoop, that is only in the middle of the lane.
