Looking at the All State Players - curious as to where they're going next year, I've filled in what I'm aware of
FIRST TEAM
AJ Jacobson - Fargo Shanley - NDSU Basketball
Nate Mertens - Devils Lake
Erron Collins - Mandan -- SD School of the Mines Basketball
Mac Kroeplin - GF Red River
Tanner Kretchman - Fargo Davies -- Senior Y ear
Ben Weisbeck - St. Mary's

SECOND TEAM
Patrick Strom - Fargo Shanley - Senior Year
Jordan Kreig - Dickinson
Tyler Rudolph - Century
Chase Carpenter - Valley City - VCSU Basketball and maybe Baseball
Darius Sparks - St. Mary's

Weisbeck, Rudolph, and Sparks are all headed to their senior year.

Have not heard much about Mertens.
Kroeplin is getting JuCo, NAIA, and D2 looks. Have heard some rumors about specific schools but I'll wait until he signs somewhere.

I believe Krieg is getting some JuCo looks, but he may potentially go the football route.

Kretchman, Weisbeck, and Strom have all received some sort of D1 interest. Rudolph and Sparks both receiving D2 interest from various schools.

How does Mines do at basketball? I'm curious since I've seen them sign many ND kids

Information on the SD School of the Mines basketball team...there were three on the roster from this past season (17-9):
Justin Schock, WF (Fr.)
Caleb Shockman, LaMoure (Jr.)
Philip Schanilec, Midway-Minto (Fr.)

and they just added two more
Trevor Zacher, Beulah
Erron Collins, Mandan

Their head coach is Jason Henry from Minot. He knows there are quality kids in ND especially in that division

As an NAIA school they were decently successful and made some noise in the DAC from time to time. This past year, their first year at D2, they played most NAIA competition and did well. However, that is a long way off from truly competing as a D2. They don't have a conference, nor do they appear to be headed to one anytime soon. This basically means no post-season opportunities. Ever. Now Jamestown, VCSU, and Mayville have no conference, but its completely different. They still have just as much if not more chance at making post season play than they did in the old DAC. You would think that would hurt the recruiting for SD Mines a little, but they also have such a niche with engineering majors that it may not really have much effect at all. Guess we'll see. Hope the ND kids do well there.

I know he hasn't been mentioned in this particular post but Northstar's Jacob Hagler is heading to Jamestown to be a Jimmy.

That's because Hagler is Class B...this is a Class A thread

David Olson (Fargo Davies) is headed to Mayville State

Nate Mertens (Devils Lake) has signed to play at Minot State. Sounds like it was between Minot St. and walking on at NDSU.
