Mandan looked very impressive in the WDA they have a good shot. Shanley and BHS are both talented too.

I think teams will have to watch out for Wahpeton. If they can get their shooters going, they are hard to beat. With Bontjes, Miller, and Pratt shooting like they can, its tough to beat them. And Medhaug is a freak athlete and is tough for big men to guard. If you put a big man on him, he goes by. Put a guard on him and he posts up. And they have Jack Christenson who is a key player to their success. He can go off for 20 points any night. And Blaze Irwin and Brandon Wetzel coming off the bench, they can also shoot the ball. Irwin can post up very well on smaller guys, and take a big man to the whole. Wetzel shot extremely well at edc, having 11 points in about 2 minutes versus Davies. If they can get going, watch out for Wahpeton.

bballer21, isn't any team hard to beat if they get going? BHS will be a tough game for wahpeton. Wahpeton hasn't yet seen a good post player like Werner. He will give them problems inside.

I think out of all the possible first round matchups for Wahp Bismarck is the worst one because of Dexter. Wahpeton doesn't have alot of big guys and this will be a problem. I hope Wahp can pull it out, they have the heart to do it, and they will be ready to play.

you can't just take the shot. gotta make it too.
they were taking very ill-advised shots in the EDC title game. almost every time they shot there was 20-25 seconds left on the shot clock, sometimes even more. that quick, fast-paced offense has been their style all year, but they have to realize when it's not working and try something a little different. they didn't do that against Shanley, and look at the results of that game.

Typical Jason Gregory team. Can't get it done in crunch time. Just like when he had Travis Mertens and they were 1 or 2 in the region and couldnt even get to the state tournament.

RR will make their shots if they take good shots. They have good shooters. Those kids have played enough ball to tell the difference between a good shot or a bad shot. They will clean it up, they want to win.

So typical that his teams are in championship game(Gregory). If you check History of him coaching in Class A.He has been in championship 4 times in 9 years. Thats not to bad. Also so typical the year they won it when they were picked 5th in the EDC with BJ Mertens as a Junior. Dont bash people without the facts. In state we all know the WDA has been better the last 5 to 6 years. Also how many of his teams have finished higher then pre-season rankings. Check in to it,you will be surprised. So easy to be critical when teams dont play the best ,but yet to give due cridit when its deserved. History of Class A that year before Travis Mertens was a senior West Fargo came into EDC #1 and guess what they didnt make it to state that year. Also the year Koenig and Liekas(sp) they were #1 and didnt make it to state. How about you give credit where credit is due. RR ended 18-1 when is the last time you have seen that in the EDC. LOOK AT THE GOOD RATHER THAN THE NEGATIVE you would be surprised.
