With 3 trips to state, Kozlowski will have a legitimate chance of passing 2000 points.

Will he be the first or is there someone that might be able to before him like Jacobson maybe?

I currently have Jacobson at 1197 points. With potentially 7 more games this season, and 25 additional games after that, he would need to average 25.1 points per game to go over 2000, which is definitely possible.

I currently have Kozlowski at 670 points. With potentially 7 more games this season, and 50 additional games after that, he only would need to average 23.4 points per game to go over 2000.

I currently have Strom at 612 points. With potentially 7 more games this season, and 50 additional games after that, he would need to average 24.4 points per game to go over 2000.

I can't remember it off the top of my head, but what is the state scoring record? I know Hanstead was challenging it until he got hurt.

I do not know Class B's off the top of my head. Class A is 1996. Joe was on his way to going well over 2200.

In class B Steve Blehm had around 3400.

You youngsters need to remember Blehm did this with no 3 point shot. The problem with this is for the top Class A programs winning and defense are a priority. I would put ( in no order) BHS, CHS, Mandan, West Fargo, North, and Minot as the top programs at the moment.

I think he is over 4800 right now. Watched him in Mankato two summers ago. 17 points in the second half and didn't miss a shot.

MN allows you to play a lot more basketball. Up to seven more regular season games and games are 12.5% longer than a Class B game.

Jacobson from Shanley is currently at 1911 with potentially 3 more games so it is within reach for him to become the first 2000 point scorer in Class A history.

I think he went over 5K. Rebekah Dahlman from Braham is also over 5K too, I believe. She's going to Vanderbilt. I think she's ranked #15 in the nation.

Rebekah Dahlman (Braham) scored her 5,000th point tonight in the State Quarterfinals (5,003 total right now...she had 40 tonight).

Anders Broman (Lakeview Christian) has 5,025 points (not including tonights total). http://tchoops.blogspot.com/2006/01/and ... acker.html

If that's true, then A.J. will set that record tonight at 25 points (he has scored 64 points in the first two games).

yep AJ surpassed the 2000 pt mark and pasted jeff Bohshee...good job... The B still does quarters and Hagler is around 2300 for his career? Not pointing fingers but i wonder what he would have done for his career if he had 8 more minutes per game since the 8th grade.. 20 games a year one extra quarter per game which basically is 5 games per year more over 5 yrs 25 games say he averages 15 per =375 more for his career.. Not bad..Can anyone tell me WHY the A does 20 min halves? I dont get that...Congrat AJ on MR Basketball well done..

A does 18 minute halves. The additional 4 minutes per game are to "balance" out the fact that Class A teams play a maximum of 25 games each year, where Class B can go way beyond that.

Is that the actual reason behind playing halves? and the only teams that play more than 25 games are the teams that go to state.
